Re: Clutch replacement

What do you guys think about the inside of the bellhousing? I think they should be dusty, but dry in there. I'm sure my clutch slave is leaking a tiny amount. Could the oily residue be from the slave cylinder? Should I pull the flyweel and look at the main bearing seal since I've gone this far?

Re: Clutch replacement

My mystery clunking was from a broken pressure plate- sheared in two.

I posted a while ago about a mystery clunk on startup. The loud clunking occurred when starting the engine with the clutch depressed, but the truck started silky smoothly in neutral. There were lots of good suggestions- motor mount, rear gearbox mount, shifter linkage, loose starter, loose solenoid,...

I like the peek a boo Pinz in the back. Kinda like something out of a cartoon.

Re: 710M OEM type seat fabric

Sorry it's off topic, but do those document bags open flat? Looking for a better tool bag, but I'd like to be able to lay it it out and see most of the tools

Re: How to get troup marking plate painted

Fwiw, techmogogy's picture is the "best." It's not historically accurate, but there are no typos or grammatical errors that the other plates had. It answers the question we get all the time too! I got tired of my Swiss family pointing out the errors, so I bought some of SAVs spray paint, painted the...

I want to see that! My Filson looks similar to Pinz material, but isn't exact.

In retrospect, I'm not sure my wife wants me to dress like the truck though...

Look for a surplus Swiss Army rucksack. I forget the years or model, but they're made out of the same material.

Re: Theft-proofing a 710 ???

None of that helps when they drag it onto a trailer and drive away (the GPS may help locate it). Depending on where you live, GPS is probably the best. Someone would have to be pretty familiar with a Pinz to know the battery cut off switch. You could easily add a switch inline to the coil and anoth...
