UK Armed Forces Day

My Pinzgauer was part of the historic military vehicle display at Stirling, Scotland to celebrate Armed Forces Day UK. Only one other Pinzgauer there from 105 Regiment towing the 105 mm field gun. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 509b704766

Electrical gremlins

Had such a run of problems with my truck of late. First after leaving it for a few weeks it wouldn't start. The batteries were no longer holding charge and one of them had split. I sourced a similar size of modern battery ( http://www.tayna.co.uk/249-Powerline-Car-Battery-P8898.html ) which had almo...

Re: Show me your backup light placement!

Mine are cheap generic ones mounted next to original refectors http://www.pinzgauer.4x4man.com/Modifications.html

I have had my rear lights changed so red is brake as per EU Standard.

If I had more money I would have gone for a more powerful LED light

Re: A trip to the shops

Tony

That road never gets ploughed so can have a lot of snow. Had fun with a few cars up there.... I remember driving it in an Audi Quattro once. Must get the Pinzgauer up there one winter.

A trip to the shops

At this time of year, especially as Scotland has had such a mild winter (all the snow seems to have gone to N. America) the Pinzgauer sits for a lot of the time. So every so often I like to get it running and go for a wee drive. Today I went to the shops then swimming pool. Sometimes it is great jus...

BBC TV Pinzgauer

Watched the BBC Great British Year nature programme last night and was amazed to see them using a military spec TD 6x6 Pinzgauer with night vision camera mast to capture wildlife on an old WW1 airfield. The truck was on civilian plates so I'm guessing a demonstrator vehicle for the night camera comp...

Re: 718 Rebuild

Seriously amazing work!! I just wonder if a link to this thread from the "general" thread would be in order cause I don't often look at the TD stuff and this might have passed un-noticed.

Love reading restoration / build threads like this.
