The color is hard to get over, might have some high centering problems on some trails
Saw this thing right around the corner from work in Santa Clara.

Re: Fridge/Freezer mount
And it turned out to prove to be pretty rugged. Went on a trail
that was a whale of a lot more challenging than I signed up for.
The fridge didn't budge 1.0MM. But I took a knocking about in the
cab. The cold Beers after that run were well appreciated

Re: Fridge/Freezer mount
Well there's a number of ways to go here, depending upon what you want to achieve. Probably a different thread than this one w.r.t 12V AUX power etc. But for a quick look at how I configured my rig see the bottom of page 11 in the doc. below. BTW REDARC are great products but you are on your own to ...

Re: Fridge/Freezer mount
I do have a 12V Aux battery. Charged via a pair of Siemens 100W Solar panels or via the 24V alternator with a REDARC charger which supports both Alt or MPPT. I believe these ARB's are 12/24V, you might want to check that out against your model number. Though if 24V is supported, you have the Battery...

Re: Light Oil in Exhaust
The exhaust valves have no seals other than the fit of the valve stem. The intakes do have a seal. When starting up cold, there will be some minor oil leaking past the exhaust valve stem but should subside once the engine is at normal operating temperature. If the leak persists then your going to se...

Re: Wear ring question
I do try to watch my diet, eat a lot of greens, and fish :P :P Well it just feels like a bit of wear on the spline bearings. More than I would have expected given the bearings and seals are less than 3 years old. The right side has never been touched under my watch and relatively speaking it's just ...

Re: Brake fluid on Clutch Pedal
You have to nail where the leak is coming from. One way to get there is pressurize each system and look for a leak. Simply, clean all surfaces as much as you can. Then push the Clutch in and hold it for at leat 10 minuets, if you have a leak in the clutch system you should see some of those tell tai...

Re: Need Pinzgauer Fuel Tank and "Doghouse" engine cover
For a gas tank, give Andre a call at Fat Fab, he may be able to build you a SS one -- no internal coating needed. And he does the armor too boot. I also know of at least one member who got a customer tank built for his 710M fitted for a in-tank fuel pump. I may have the URL to that company at home -...

Re: Wear ring question
Ya, a local guy did my Left front wheel drive a few years back. He's in the Bay Area and does work for EI so knows Pinz'ies well. But he is soooo darn backlogged with his regular business your in a long queue :( So, I'm thinking it's a DIY but I don't want any surprises. This wheel was apart once be...

Re: Wear ring question
While on the topic of wear rings. About 2 years ago I developed the classic leaky hub problem all over my Right front break. All seals and Bearing were replaced -- I didn't to that job myself. But now, the same wheel, is beginning to show signs of bearing wear, hmmm, odd, only after a few years. All...

Re: 1972 Search & Rescue Pinz (*warning* picture heavy)
Ya, I tend to go overboard sometimes :P Gilding the Lilly so to speak. The best thing to try is just drive forward 12' look at the tires for the Pinz'y pose, and measure the height from ground. Go in reverse 12' repeat the look and measurement. If in the reverse direction you distance from ground ha...

Re: 1972 Search & Rescue Pinz (*warning* picture heavy)
Maybe, but more often than not it's toe-in, not the spacers or springs.
There's a thread on that how to measure and how to correct.
