Re: Pinzi SSI
I have the PinzSSI 2.0. Can one get only the 3.0 "distributor" module that is metal and allows easier timing change as you reported?

Re: Choke (fuel enrichment) screw up?
A close but a little off topic problem. The nut holding the fuel enrichment plate frequently comes loose on my front carburetor. You can imagine the result. Is there any predisposing reason for this to occur and is it ok to add a little thread locker? Thanks all!

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up
To avoid a second fuel tank, I would consider a gasoline version as was the original in my 710K. Are they not made or is sticking with gasoline a foolish endeavor?

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up
I agree! Detailed pics and sourcing of components. I hate reinventing the wheel. When I bought my 710K the original heater was in parts in a big box. This seems like an alternative and you have done all the legwork.
Thanks Vince!

Re: 710K map-reading lamps
Without looking, I believe it grounds directly to the body with the mounting screws. I can check tomorrow. A simple, step one check is to remove the lens and bulb. turn on the light, and check voltage between the single bulb power feed and another area on the body to provide ground. if you have volt...

Re: 710K map-reading lamps
If I am understanding you correctly, your description narrows the problem down to the rear blue light only. The relay and switches are fine. Troubleshoot the power to that rear blue light with a voltmeter to find the break. In my experience it almost always a grounding problem at the light.

Re: Pinzgauer shock rebound vs compression
I put Doetsch shocks on a couple years ago and they certainly made a big difference. Easy install. I purchased mine from EI and the sleeve issue had been corrected. Unfortunately, I don't see them on their site on my quick search. It might be worth a call.

Re: Pinzgauer Radio Parts
A bit off topic but I have a question about the shelf support in your first couple of photos. I am reassembling my shelves and I had noticed two small holes in the support and wondered their purpose. In your photo there seems to be a clamp of some type at the location of those holes. I do not see th...
