Re: Carb Base Sealant
Would you advise against copper-spraying the paper gaskets ahead of time and letting them dry before install?

Problems w/ Bumping Up AMP's...
What are the down sides to installing 4 batteries in two sets to bump up the amps? 2 batteries wired parallel and then 2 more batteries wired parallel and then wire the two sets together in series still = 24v but with double the standard amps. Will the factory wiring hold or will I let the "Smo...

2.5Ltr Life Span???
What can one expect to get in terms of mileage out of one of these motors? This is under the assumption that the engine was well cared for and services were done religiously. I may have found a pinzy for a decent price but the mileage is higher then I like. Thanks in advance!

Re: Shifter ???'s
That make sense about the one with the collar(detent release). And on the idea of cracks in the shift rod itself or are we talking something completely different? I only ask so I know what to look for when doing pre-purchase inspections! Thanks for the responses.

Shifter ???'s
In the past 2 weeks I've driven a few different 710's that i was contemplating purchasing. I noticed that on one of them the shift lever had a little collar on it that you lifted up in order to get into reverse...the other ones did not have this collar. Is there a difference between shift levers? On...

Re: Wheel bearing wear
Over tightening of the lugs has no effect on wheel bearings...sounds like the paint "Jerkys" were abit overzealous. It does seem that front wheel bearings do seem to go bad or at least loosen up sooner than rears on any vehicle...not just Pinzys. Just cause one is bad doesn't mean the othe...

Re: 24v to 12v idea...
I wasn't trying to start anything(krick3tt). You didn't have to go throw the whole "Heep" thing in there. I was just thinking out loud and figured I would ask! I've done alot of the 6v to 12v stuff back in the day with the Volkys and done some 24v to 12v stuff on the old Rovers but that wa...

24v to 12v idea...
This might be a funny one to some of ya'll but I thought it was worth asking anyway. Can you not convert everything in a pinz over to 12v just by replacing all things 24v to 12v stuff? In theory you shouldn't have to change over any of the wiring. Help me understand alittle better.
