Hello
For those of you that have reported on using split-boots, how many have used official Steyr and how many have used the ones from India? Of the ones from India, how many have been from the newer, softer generation?

Steering box gasket?
Hello It looks like the leak is coming from the cover that has the adjustment screw. I have tightened the bolts, but am nervous about how much torque I can apply to these bolts before they break. I am also concerned about what would happen to the adjustment setting. If I don't have to worry about ho...

Split-boot (actual users only - please)
Hello
How long has anyone successfully run a split boot? I will be purchasing one as part of my trail emergency kit and I am curious how fast I need to get back to the original soild type. Does anyone have Steyr approved info on their split-boot?

More on the steering box
Hello I think that I am resigned to removing the steering box for a chance at fixing the drip. I have tried to be a bit more scientific in finding the drip. I wiped it clean and drove it and monitored the floor plan. Nothing. The next day, a few drips have run down the floor pan over-night. Just out...

Committed
Hello
Well, it finally happened, the Chevy is gone (and for the asking price), so I am, now, committed to driving the Pinz daily. I will probably be the only father driving a Pinz to Gymboree classes.

Horn wire and ?...
Hello About two weeks ago, I got in the pinz while it was raining. Everything seemed fine except I smelled that hot electrical smell. I looked around for that wisp of smoke, but saw nothing and everything was working fine. On top of that, the smell was getting fainter. So, I continued on driving, ca...

Taillight lense "flipping"
Hello Cutting the reflectors is just what I wanted to avoid. The reflectors are held in place by two brad/rivets. If these brass pieces can be removed such that the reflectors can be flipped inside the lense, no cutting would be required. The difficulty, then, becomes finding new brad/rivets to re-a...
