Re: Intro from Malaysia - WR7002 - C304

I dont know what you can really do outside of having custom shafts made or at least having everything cryo-treated and/or shot-peened... or use 35's instead of 37's but I understand you have mud issues unlike most of us would ever encounter. Definitely avoid dumping the clutch, ever. Also you can no...

Re: Intro from Malaysia - WR7002 - C304

I'd take it easy when you drive that thing later on. Extra power with the extra tire size/weight, plus extra truck weight, is going to push those axles/hubs to the limit. Are you going to keep the outer seat bottom/bolster stock? It makes it a real bitch to get in and out of. I tested this once myse...

Thanks. (I mentioned it) And yes it's an absolute must. The stock fuel filler is unusable.

Re: 1974 Volvo C303 For Sale

A 303 is a little different since you can't just find a good one the moment you want it, where a Pinz or old Land Rover, etc. are much easier to find that way. I guess this makes the price more about "how soon do you want it?". Do you want to wait maybe another 6 months to find a good one ...

Does anyone know Donny (sixbennets)?

I'm wondering since I never heard back from him after sending a private msg. to him many months ago. He had cancer but had bought a C303 and was enjoying it. My last PM to him was never received. He lives in NY state somewhere.

Re: G-wagen power steering fluid type??

Depends on year. Don't forget the filter. A lot of people don't realize that those pumps (assuming you have the same G set-up) actually have a filter in them. It's really easy to check. It's at the bottom of the rod in your pump. https://mercedessource.com/problems/engine/changing-your-power-steerin...

Re: RHD 718 on Milweb

That's an early one... rare to see a diesel that could be a US legal import. Now if only it were a 4x4 and left hand drive... I might be selling a Gwagen.

Re: truck won't move

Like was said above, I'm going to guess it's the emergency brake. I had this happen a few times when I had a 710. You may need to get in there and clean it up, esp. if it was exposed to water/mud.

Re: Kiravan -Unimog based RV.. thing.

Jesus... well whatever the case, this is one REAL amazing piece of engineering and while its not to my taste, it's damn impressive, esp. that cab. What it would take to lay that out and make it real would be about like building a car from scratch alone.
