Re: silly light question

this is the problem with trying to procure parts while working out of state..... impossible for me to keep everything straight in my head.

Based on your always-sage advice Jim....I'll disregard this idea immediately!

hope the warming trend continues for when I get home.....just one more week!

Re: silly light question

thanks JIm - I didn't realize there were so many variables!

I'm thinking about swapping to the diesel taillight setup soon, so that's where the question would evolve.... I've got almost all the parts sourced, then I can get some pics and start showing people what's going on!

silly light question

Apologies guys, I'm out of state at work and can't go out to the truck to go look.... And not much luck on pinz websites aside from "you'll need 24v 21w bulbs".

Short version - what model bulbs do our trucks use for tail lighs? 1157s?

standing by.....and thanks!

while certainly not calibrated for legal purposes, there is an iphone app called SPL Meter that is pretty close. I've calibrated mine vs a spendy SPL meter we have here at work, and mine stays within .1dBa of the real one. For our purposes, I think this is pretty good, especially given it's a way to...

I agree with Pete. I used to live across the street from a place that had several signs saying "do not enter" and people would, invariably to bury their Honda in mud. Since I had the crew cab diesel F350 across the street....guess which door was knocked upon? I was typically willing to hel...

rub rails and nutserts

Hello all - Tried looking back and didn't find any real good answers, so here's the question: Anyone know the size, and a good vendor, for the rub rail nutserts? I'm going to have to install most of the nutserts as I go replacing rub rails in the near future. I recall there might have been a vendor ...

There is no way in hell that I would only use 1" of the jack's riser inserted in that extension tube to stabilize a load I'd crawl under. I appreciate the guy's intent, but with the potential for torque on that jack, I wouldn't use any kind of sleeve-like device that looked like this. With the ...

I have not....but a friend of mine has. He is Swiss, and ran around in them as part of compulsory military service. When he found out I had a Pinz he almost peed himself he thought it was so cool. He lives in Utah now, and I'm trying to convince him to get one :D

thanks Jim, sort of what I was hoping for. pretty unimpressed with how Hagerty threw this one to me, and I'm stuck - gotta get it insured before it gets transported. Next week when I have a little more time I'll dig around and see what I can come up with. Until then, if anyone has ideas I'm all ears...

Insurance

So I'm working on getting a new pinz..... and before my buddy picks it up and trailers it back home, want to get it insured, just in case anything goes amiss on the ride home. I call up my insurance agent - Hagerty - and they're glad to insure it. But get this - I have to vouch that I will not use i...

Dennis is THE MAN. Made my pinz super happy after I got it down to him. There's a reason he's working like he is - his skills are sought after, and he's a good guy. Send him he carbs and dont beef it it takes a little extra time, it's all worth it.
