Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up
Well, the 5KW AIO diesel unit was not the right fit for me, on numerous fronts: too high output, diesel, and less than ideal physical fit. So I went with a 2KW 12V gasoline Webasto Air Top 2000 STC that I was able to source out of Russia (via eBay) for $550 (Best Offer), which is what I was seeing f...

Re: Wheel Balancing Beads
Used them for years..had tubes in my MT's. Now have or running tubeless on stock rims. Used the little round pellets that go in air guns. Went to the sporting goods store and got a big jar for $25 and put 8 oz in each tire. Work the same as the balancing beads for less money and do not get stuck in...

*SOLD* Pinzgauer Cargo/Kitchen/Bed Platform F/S
Hello All, I recently removed the cargo/kitchen/bed platform from my 710K as we're doing a complete revision to reduce weight and increase functionality. The platform could be installed directly into a 710/716 (K or M) as-is or retrofitted to a 712/718. The unit has 3 cargo boxes, 2 dry storage spac...

Re: front wheel hub steps
I don't have any experience with the T-Lo step, but I have lived with the Cold War hub steps on my 710K for over a decade. As my daily-driver with tens of thousands of off-road miles clocked I can say that the length of the steps has never been an issue with obstacles. Furthermore, for the 10-20 tim...

It all looks excellent so far. Well done! Looking forward to a performance report from your test drive.

Re: VW Jetronic mechanical fuel injection swap
Do you have any intention or willingness to reproduce the custom bits for other forum members once you've sorted all the kinks?

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up
Back on topic! Any update on how these are working and installation? I am particularly interested in the All in One units. Jason, did you get yours installed? Unfortunately, no. The weather warmed, COVID set in, and I've been "working" from the trail through much of this crazy time. I'll ...

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up
If a Pinzgauer doesn't fit your needs as it comes, WHY DO YOU OWN ONE? I'm pretty sure that no one here has an army to outfit, so short of being a military memorabilia collector most owners and potential owners see an extraordinarily capable platform that with a little tweaking has the potential to...

Re: Lots of cheap heaters popping up
For anyone considering one of these, now may be the time. It seems Chinese product prices are tanking across the board due to the current virus concerns. I just picked up this 5KW AIO unit for $135 on Amazon and there are plenty of options to choose from in that price range. Published dimensions mak...

Re: 3saurus/Battleborn rear bumper and "Fuel Mule" carrier
Cool. Any pics of the unit alone? Are they keeping this design on file for others or was it a one-off? Is there a bushing in the hinge? Any talk of adding a zerk fitting to grease it? Lockable latch? Vince, A gallery of the carrier in development/fabrication can be viewed here . I'll add some addit...

3saurus/Battleborn rear bumper and "Fuel Mule" carrier
After identifying a number of shortcomings with my previous bumper/carrier combo I got with 3saurus in Las Vegas to assist me with a more functional redesign of this familiar tire/fuel carrier configuration. Below is a list of improvements over the previous design: Divorced carrier design allows car...
