Re: Intercooler
You undestand, Dave, that this solution could be valid only for Armies, not for single enthusiasts. Try to immagine the cost of shipping the vehicle round trip, cutout and modify the floor pan, not to mention the one of parts needed that notoriously are not cheap at all. I go back to the point: air ...

Re: Intercooler
That's why I'm working on a water/air intercooler. Water hoses are thin and flexible! My idea is to put a water radiator with own fan somewere else, for instance in a modified tool box.

Re: Intercooler
Any follow up to this interesting thread?
I understand the main problem is reaching the front of the vehicle with two big pipes. I've installed a Volvo TD intercooler engine on a P80 718 and I'm working on a water to air intercooler. Does anybody have experience in this solution?
Thanks

Re: Air shock absorbers
I would preferably keep original system if cost is rasonable, so if new ones (if available) are too expensive I would go for rebuilding original ones if somebody does it. Second choice would be substitute original air shock with compatible ones, always if not too expensive, otherwise I would buy tra...

Air shock absorbers
I have all my shock absorbers, on both 716s of mine, with rubber part damaged. Does anybody know whether shocks can be rebuilt or if there is any compatible substitute in the market or if I have to apply to s-tec for new ones. Otherwise, if I chose to give up with air system, what springs and tradit...

Jules I had the experience of buying 3 from Slovenia (2x710m, 1x710k) and 2 from Bosnia (1x710m, 1x710ms). It was a couple of years ago, prices where acceptable but all, apart the k, where in need of major restoration works and two were in such bad shape that were destined to spare parts donors. Now...

Both my swedish 716 k and my austrian 718 amb have such exchanger but I'm swapping the engine of the last one with the one from a Volvo td intercooler. This engine does not have said exchanger but an oil radiator. If the purpose of the exchanger is to cool the oil then I will go for the oil radiator...

Jim, I do not see it that way. On spare catalogue you can find 92 mm pistons with both tollerance I and II, same with 92.5 and 93. In total 6 choices. No mention of a tollerance III. On repair manual they advise to check tollerance nr (1 or 2). In my opinion it is related to the connecting rod as, f...

pistons tolerance
Found no infos on this matter.
What does it mean tolerance 1 (or I) or 2 (II) in pistons sizes? And KZ 1 and KZ 2?
What are manufacturer's pn for pistons?
Thanks for your help.

At swiss army they have for sure all records on the vehicle but I do not think they are available to the public. Sometime the buyer, trader or private, receives a copy of a sort of dismissal permit based on an appraisal of vehicle conditions, but for it you have to apply to who sold you the car.
