Re: Buying a C304.
This makes me curious as to where this truck came from. Who could blow that kind of money just to screw it up that badly and make it almost impossible to resale? I appreciate a lot of his work that I saw on the site but doing that kind of thing to a rare 6x6, 3 ton+ truck seems a little out of plac...

Re: Buying a C304.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA SON OF A *MODERATED* Well, i really wish the gear puller I needed had come sooner. yeah it'd be REAL hard to find a wheel for this thing, it uses a 21.75mm x 36 spline steering wheel. Used on some much older volvo cars, and some weird american car company called "Jeep&quo...

Re: Buying a C304.
Friend, with what I saw on that website, you're lucky your Volvo doesn't look like a Mars Rover..........lol  Wait till you see what he did with the dash. :D And yeah I'm considering replacing the seat if I can find like a forklift seat or something too, but the wheel is REALLY low. Like, I'm ...

Re: Buying a C304.
If you do have some trace of a steering wheel, why can't you use that to build off of? It has the hub, doesn't it? I never needed to get into this issue so I dont know more about it but the wheel would not be made just for the 303. It could even be from the same company that built the Pinz wheel. T...

Re: Buying a C304.
Hello The list. 1.) Google Volvo C303 and contact everyone. Linden Engineering and Extreme 4x4 (both in CO) and the guy who does North West Mogfest (name escapes me). They may not have one for sale, but maybe for rent. Borrow it, make measurements and pics, and send it back with a twenty. 2.) Take ...

Re: Buying a C304.
YES, I *UNDERSTAND* about the TIRES. However I cannot do dick until I get a *STEERING WHEEL*. Unfortunitely, nobody has a spare steering wheel, and nobody knows what type of adapter will fit. My apologies for sounding a bit short, but I've been trying to track down a new wheel or an adapter for half...

Re: Buying a C304.
These are just the tires that came on it, I am going to have to replace them, they're cracked and pretty much dryrotted, I'm rather amazed they still hold air. However before I do *ANYTHING*, I need to replace the steering wheel, I literally cannot drive the thing with the current custom wheel the l...

Re: Buying a C304.
38" Michelins, stock engine, rear main seal is leaking oil onto the clutch, so the clutch slips a little, need to replace that seal. (looking through the manuals trying to find the best way to remove the transmission from the engine to do that, anyone have experience with that that can give me ...

Exterior bits..
The previous owner of my volvo has stripped a lot of the exterior bits from the C304, and did not retain them. I'm going to be building a custom rear tire carrier, so I'm not too concearned about that. I would however love to find some of the unit identification plate holders, (the half-stop-sign sh...

Buying a C304.
Hello, Folks! So after a year of researching Unimog's, Pinzgauers and Volvos, I decided to look at a C-304 (TGB-13 Mortar carrier version), and managed to find one in the US and make a deposit on it. I have a few questions for those who may be more experienced than I in this, #1 being, does anyone r...
