Oh I know- cans, twist-offs, etc., but inevitably there's some "premium" beer in the cooler calling your name and the bottle opener is missing from its god-given location on the side of the cooler. The tailgate location definitely reduces the number of steps from cooler to open beer. Less ...

I don't understand why you'd want to build a replica. Replica cars are usually made to look like more expensive cars and real Pinz's aren't that expensive. Or they're made to look like more attractive cars and real Pinz's aren't that attractive (present company excluded). Get a real one and spend yo...

best bottle opener

This really should be under the Technical section :D The best bottle opener I have found on the Pinz is using one of the round holes in the front bumperettes near the middle nose pin. Unfortunately this has the disadvantage of opening the bottle nearly horizontal and therefore precious drops of beer...

I haven't seen the Tuff River ones in person, but I remember the best VW/Porsche tops were made from Haartz Stayfast fabric.

Do you honestly think that the big oil companies don't play a part in this too? I know a guy that is high up in a drilling company and he says they're drilling wells all day long- 24 hours- and then just capping them and moving on to the next one.

Mine did the same thing. It was leaking from the lower filler neck connection, but it never leaked inside the cab. Mine has a "corrugated" rubber covering hose, that I had to pull up to expose the actual filler neck hose clamps. The corrugated one has a double lip on the bottom and it real...

Hi Jer, On my vacation I discovered that the rest of the world has spring already! The trees were covered in these wierd green things they call leaves. What a shock to come back to McCall and find that the snow has only receded a foot. You saw my yard- a foot of snow less doesn't make that m...

Google Map of Pinz owners

Is it possible to expand on the "where are you" thread below by adding a google map to the site like the one on Robi's?-

Hopefully you got out to play in the snow too! The snow's receding here now, but somewhere I have a picture of my boys sledding off the roof of the garage.

Bienvenu Jan, Je suis tres jaloux! I used to live in Lausanne in a large, but not nice apartment that was directly downhill from the train station, but at the same level as the platforms. The view was beautiful, and the trains were quiet, but the recorded voice of the announcer was difficult to hand...

JerBear made it to McCall today, so we enjoyed the beautiful day with a beer and a sandwich and met with another Pinz-head and talked trucks for a bit. Jerry's picked up a clean 710k and Dennis' mods are very nicely done. We were both impressed with the toasty heat from the QUIET webasto and I parti...
