Re: Starter Rebuild

John First you need to identify the version of starter you have. http://members.westnet.com.au/profpinz/hold/Starter-Comparison_small.jpg the left device on the pic is version 2, the right one version 1 From the info in your signature ( 1971) I conclude you will have a v1, unless it was swapped in t...

Re: bad fuel pump

My Pinz works fine with the Fuel Pump PIERBURG - Ref.: 7.02242.04.0 from a Volkswageen Beetle.
It has exactly the same geometry as the original Pinz pump, but cost just around 50 €.

Re: idler arm.....

Replacing o rings and washer will not be enough, I'm afraid.

There is a large o ring behind the RELAY SHAFT HOUSING Art-Nr 7101433151
if you find oil there you must find the source, and I guess you will have a leaking shaft seal ring behind the speedometer pinion.

looking at the dimensions of the cat, it could fit in between the exhaust manifold and the heat exchanger, but in this setup you would need two cat modules....

4x4Pinz thanks for the pics. I guess I will add the nylon straps to the agenda for the winter modifications It seems to me you still use 16 mm diameter screws on both sides of the axle to attach shock absorber and straps. http://up.picr.de/23454681uy.jpg there was a refit note that included drilling...
