Re: Exhaust flanges
This is available from SAV...http://www.pinzgauer.com/showdetails.php?cat=pinzgauer&partno=SAV6894 Where does your part fit in? That part requires modification to the manifolds. Mine is as follows (and I don't have pictures yet): The stock exhaust manifold has "piston rings" on the en...

Re: Eberspacher BN4 Questions
It's a military 24V unit but designed for a Land Rover so to draw air from the side would need a mod. I was looking for £350 but open to offers

Re: Exhaust flanges
I am proposing getting a batch of flanges cut that people could use to make their own mufflers etc. as they'll bolt right onto the heat exchanger

Exhaust flanges
Thinking of getting a load cut from stainless - anyone interested? I'm thinking of unbolting the flange from the heat exchanger and fitting those cups directly to the manifold, which will leave me with space to fit a new flexible portion between two flanges. The flange is the same size as the rear b...

Re: Maxtrax
Cast iron is fairly soft/brittle and wouldn't last long. 12mm just happens to be what you need in order to fit an M10 insert (which is made from hard spring steel)

Re: Maxtrax
If the insert is missing, the hole in the drum is M12x1.5
Standard M12 i.e. coarse, is 1.75

Re: Maxtrax
They're standard M10 coarse bolts that screw into threaded inserts in the drum. If these are missing, don't try using an M12 coarse bolt as it has the wrong pitch

Re: Carb float tools - spot the difference!
That should work. I don't know why valves are being mentioned - it's a bleed nipple

Where's the best place to sell my carbs?
Assuming I can get the EFI working (which it isn't yet, because I haven't had time to get the fuel rails made) I'll be selling both carbs - are there any Porsche forums where I might get a better price?
Will also have a complete distributor, HT (ignition) leads and fuel pump for sale too...

Re: Carb float tools - spot the difference!
If you can get the bleeder nipple (which is a common size) they are dead easy and quick to make - it's only a simple level gauge, doesn't need to be anything fancy. It's a shame the carbs don't have an external adjustment screw for the float valve as having to take the top off to shim it is a pain

I reckon they'd work fine - good find! Still cheaper to make your own, though
