They will offer very little extra support because the geometry is based on right angles and the materials that make up the cage is not that substantial. The strength comes from the triangulation at the upper corners of the roll bar. Still even a little extra strenth is good. If you do remove it you ...

Okay so 6 meters is band width? I saw a Radio Shack mobile 10 meter Ham, would that cover the same band width as your 6 meter? Its a small package which I like, but does that mean its going to have less power/distance capabilities? What means of measure indicates power/distance?

712FW for sale on ebay.de

Looks like a pretty nice 712 FW, would make a real nice base for a camper conversion.

Hey Dave aren't you supposed to limit your bragging to the TurboD forum  After all its not fair to compare discs vs drums. Oh well I guess having the only street legal TD in the US, we can make an exception. Some day when my pinz is done I'll make it over to check out the PinkCow in person. Mi...

If you’re going to compare prices/cost of repairs you need to start with the original cost for both vehicles, not used cost vs. new cost. A brand new Pinz started its life at around $100,000.00 a little closer to $150,000.00 plus in today’s dollars not $10,500.00 I have no problem with the H1, H2, H...

Looking for a manual for Penske exhaust analyzer

I need a copy of the Owners Manual for a Penske/Sears exhaust analyzer model: 244-21018. I want to scan it into my computer so I could use jpegs of the manual as well. My copy came saturated with oil so the images from the front and back are scanning at the same time with very poor results. Any one ...

I think the reason the braking is so much better on the 712 is because of the inverted leaf springs in the rear. When brake is applied the leading rear tire is forced down with more force due to the linkage to the trailing rear tires wanting to lift up, thus giving improved braking power like the fr...

STPPINZ....Just stick your hand up in there, grab and wiggle whatever you can reach. If theres no wiggle don't worry about it. If you can see it with a flashlight you could check out the worm gear for the distributor. Thats all I can think of.

Scooter...Wow those are bright! You may want to check out the regulations for side marker lights. I beleive that the rear one has to be red, some DOT rule. Of course I could be wrong its been a while.

I saw this for sale a while back on ebay.de, thought it was a nice layout for a weekend camper. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b284/milesdzyn/PinzgauerMisc/PinzCamper_6.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b284/milesdzyn/PinzgauerMisc/PinzCamper_8.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b284/miles...

This is a rough idea of the interior layout I will be using for my camper conversion. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b284/milesdzyn/MyPinz712/PinzCamper_1sm.jpg It is setup for solo camping, with mass storage areas for equipment. The exterior is still being worked out but it will be a hard top an...

Fuel delivery question

First I'd like to state that I really like the mechanical fuel pump and don't want to change it out for an electric pump, as I want to keep the running electric draw to a minimum. I have been having troubles in the HOT Las Vegas summer with the fuel evaporating out of the carbs and fuel lines when t...

Peter...Thanks for the Pic. Would you know of a picture that shows better detail of the mechanism that holds the window section in the upright / closed position? Or if anyone has a setup like the 716 Shorty window, could you please post some pics.
