Re: Mirror replacement - looks almost like factory
Hey ... f*ck you guys. I posted a sincere post that showed how to get a mirror that is almost identical to the factory ones. It does;t really matter what it cost. And for the idiot who thinks he's all cool because he drives Ferraris ... what a moron. Been there, done that idiot. You might want to f...

Re: Mirror replacement - looks almost like factory
He's not being negative.. He's being a realist. $6.. $13.. $44. All seem pretty cheap for a mirror (to me.) Every day I order mirrors for late model trucks, and if (even aftermarket) cost less than $100, you are ahead of the game. You ever price out a current F150 mirror with heat, power and power ...

Re: Rear seat belts wanted
I installed e-track and the EI belts in my 710m. Easy project, works great.
The only downside is that the belts clank around a lot when not being worn.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best...
I have dunced around for months trying to get an elegant USB connection for my phone (i.e. GPS!) in the 710M. Finally, a co-worker said, "Just use that motorcycle plug on the dashboard!". I replied, "huh?" He says, "Yeah, I've got the same outlet on my BMW bike" To make...

Re: Rotted hose
Here's the update: Massive difference in heating! Seems like within 2 minutes of engine start, there is HOT air coming from the vents. Almost warm enough to roast a marshmallow -- and certainly warm enough that gloves and a jacket are no longer needed. Thermal expansion of the windscreen glass and d...

Re: Rotted hose
I'll get a replacement ordered today. Looks to be cheap as chips. In the meantime, I just cut it cleanly and reattached it with the existing band clamp out in our parking lot. I've sent a coworker out to pick up some lunch in the Pinz, and he'll report back shortly on whether it is any warmer. Outsi...

Rotted hose
Does this explain why I've had an exceptionally cold winter in my Pinzguaer, or does it explain why I'm feeling light-headed after a short drive? Easy to swap out?
(just kidding, I'm not feeling light headed)

I am at about 37psi for the road, and it makes a MASSIVE different in drivability, compared to the ~25psi I used to run.

Re: Factory Air?
Beh. Factory air would be a joke in a 710M. There's literally no insulation in the cab.
I drive mine daily in North Carolina, and its fine. Roll up the roof. Open the windows. Lots of fresh air, often times moving 40mph through your hair. But never faster.

Re: Pucker factor forwards and back
As a relative newbie to the Pinz ('78 710M), I'm curious about about your fuel situation when hard over on the passenger side. Did you see any fuel loss from the filler neck? Without protective racking like Andre offers, could the tank be seriously damaged when hard over on the side? The rub rails d...
