Re: New owner in North Carolina !
which gets more Questions and turns more heads? The Pinz absolutely gets more head-turning and walk-up questions wherever I park it. Second place goes to the Aston-Martin. Ferrari is a very very distant third --- I think because people assume Italian exotic cars are all owned by d-bags. The ...

Re: Winch wiring question...
Picture of your new wiring would make this thread complete (esp since I will be doing the same thing next spring :) ) However, I am using a different Warn winch Without taking it all apart again for pictures, here's the skinny: 0) Disconnect the battery 1) remove the seats. A single wing-nut behind...

Re: Winch wiring question...
Easy as pie! No drilling required. We routed the cables through the front grill (there is plenty of loose area around the horn's cutout) and zip-tied in the tunnel. One lead to the starter --- (total beoytch to access); the ground is on the solenoid clamp. Works like a dream.

Winch wiring question...
First, a big shout out to Andre @ Fat Fabrications for a beautiful front bumper :) It arrived today via UPS Freight, and was a snap to install. However, I'm wondering what most folks do for wiring... I have a WARN XD9000 mounted right now, but obviously the cables aren't long enough to reach the bat...

...These trucks are tough..betcha you will be riding around in only a few days!! +1 Mine is a daily driver, and serves as a pretty darn good hockey transporter for my team mates and our after-game pub crawls. It's cold in the mornings, and more than a bit wet in the rain... but tons of fun, 24/7 !

^ IIRK, as the metal lid rolls upward, it makes contact with the dashboard housing and thus closes the circuit.

Re: Pinzgauer sighting
LOL. My wife spends almost more money at Athleta (we have that catalog here now) than I spend on Pinz stuff. Just ask Andre about the winch I've got in transit to him.
I'm convinced the Athleta catalog is the 21st century version of Victoria's Secret.

Re: USB ports for Cell, GPS, Etc charging
Believe me, I want it to work too.. I just got it from Amazon and was planning to install in the same washer-pump location. Here is a picture of what I got, when purchased with the link provided earlier in the thread:

Re: USB ports for Cell, GPS, Etc charging
I just spoke with the vendor (Blue Sea Systems), and their technical service rep informs me the socket from Amazon (which I just purchased ) is not 24v compatible.

Re: New owner in North Carolina !
Thanks for the kind words. We had the Pinz down on a friend's farm near the Yadkin river last weekend. Nice soft mud, 7' tall corn rows, an some kids in the back just having a grand time. It was a pretty safe place to learn the capabilities of the vehicle, as we had a massive Deere tractor at our di...

There's a guy in North Carolina waiting patiently for a brush guard too.
OK. Maybe I'm not really that patient.

New owner in North Carolina !
Just wanted to say hello. After being smitten with the Pinzgauer bug out in Colorado, I just had to have one myself. Mine is a bone stock 710M, but my son and I have already fitted a VIC-1 intercom system, and I've got a brush bar from Andre (fatfabrications) already in production. E-track rear belt...
