Looks like there is enough interest in the center consoles so I am going to put some together in the next week. I will prime them and have them ready for you to paint. They are $50 plus shipping.

I use a Garmin 176c in all my trucks. In the pinz the mounts are above the windshield wiper motor. Many of the GPS units that are marine/aviation rated will plug directly into 8 to 32 volt systems as is the case with the 176 series. They are portable with AA batteries but a bit bulky. I have externa...

I can do a run of them usually 5 at a time. They are made from MDF and have held up in several roll overs. I have templates but no real plans.

I used a Tuffy box in my 712 to house all the electronics and lights. My neighbor has done the same with his 710K along with a bank of switches to control all the added features. Here is a picture of mine, you can see the intercom control unit towards the front along with the overhead lighting and t...

I made a bunch of these for people. They replace the access cover and use the same locking device. My original design (the one thats in my 712) is taller at the storage compartment and most felt it was too high for their liking. This shorter version seems to be just about right for most and yes that...

personally I went with an older ford 350 ('01) crew cab 4x4 so I could have the bigger diesel. With it chipped and beefed up tranny I can pull anything my heart desires but it is a large truck. I use this as my daily (when not driving one of my pinzies) driver. With the trucks chip set at #3 positio...

Andy
Would be good to see you there. I am planning on going and hopefully bringing a few of the AZ guys with me. Weather should be great, always seems to rain a little while we are there which is a real nice change from the summer heat here.

I just use jumper cable style clamps to hook mine up. Any auto parts store has replacement ones.

tanks are pretty much worthless unless you are going to run an air horn that requires more air than the pump will put out. For general tire inflation there is just no need for the tank. Be careful to make sure that the air chuck releases air so the line does not build pressure and cause failure with...

While I am a die hard pinz fan, it sounds like for what you are wanting to do a 404 Mog would work much better. SAV had those service mogs there already set up and would have been perfect for your needs.

Made a Pinzgauer into a Volvo without the articulation? If you look at a Volvo 6x6 and this Pinzgauer you have gone a long way around to get an automatic transmission without the durability testing. Pretty sure you could just slide an auto into the Volvo without all the other effort and a cleaner p...

I have towed my 710 and 712 all over the western US with this tilt trailer. The tires appear to be rubbing fender flares but it is a photo angle issue. Trailer has electric brakes and an 8500# rating. It is towed by an '01 F350 diesel that has been chipped, with the tranny custom built for towing. T...

A few years ago I stopped by Tuff River (I was at the RMP Treffen). One of the guys in the SWPA has a TR top from one of the first runs. He caught the top on a branch, which would have damaged any soft top, I took it to TR for repairs. The repairs were taken care of while I waited and did not cost a...

here is a link to a picture of the non portable unit mounted in my 712's overhead console. You can see two of the intercom jacks to the rear of the overhead console and the controller in the front. The other jacks are mounted in the upper corners of the hard top in the rear passenger area. http://re...
