Dizzy advance lockout

I need to lock the centrifugal advance out of the dizzy. Has anyone done this? If so, kindly describe the process.

Thanks

Re: 712 on the Rubicon?

Since they blew up Gatekeeper and tamed Big sluice, I don't think it would be too difficult for either. Definitely need protection for gas tank and oil pan though.
You'll be on 3 or 5 wheels a lot because of the articulation limits but people drag IFS vehicles through regularly.

Re: Trail Ready Beadlock Wheels

Great looking set-up. In California, real bead-locks are illegal on the highway. Is it so in other states? Maybe your intent is trail only?

Re: LED Bulb replacements -- Turn, Break, Running

Just a warning. I replaced all my dash lights, turn signals, rear lights and headlights with LED's. Apparently they draw so much less current that the Pinz system doesn't know what to do. Turn signals need an LED blinker module to flash properly. Energy bleeds over from other systems like my locker ...

Re: LED Headlights randomly going out

I had one of the older style LED fail intermittently. Since they are sealed enclosures, I couldn't open them up and find out.

I eventually replaced it and it works fine. I'm inclined to believe there were some manufacturing issues that lead to premature failure.

Carburetor foot print

Does anyone have a detailed drawing of the carburetor footprint? And the delta in height between them. I am starting a sequential injection project and since Jim's out of kits, I need to fab up my own. As usual, I will provide all models, and drawings to the group
when finished.

Re: Riddle

I had only a few trips off-road. The O.D. has worked flawlessly. I still want to make a skidplate/O.D. mount. To both support it and protect it. My concern is that a rear flexible mount may "conflict" with the way the original rear mount flexes. I don't want to place undue stress on the re...

So I finally changed out my leaking oil pan gasket and to my surprise I find this spring thing stuck to the drain plug magnet. (left in picture)I think it must be an oil scraper tension spring from a piston (compare to new piston on right). The p.o. said that a "cylinder was replaced" at s...
