Diff leaks? (visual included)
Hi guys, I'm doing a full maintenance of all hydraulic parts (brake, clutch, diff locks...). It's amazing to see that such jobs can be forgotten for decades :( Bleed was so black, I never saw that before... It looked like more mud than bleed... However, when I removed slave cylinder (the one who eng...

Oh thank you
I can find some time to translate it in English. If someone can read after me to track gramar/syntax errors, would be awesome

Re: New Pinzgauer 712M owner
I just wrote a new article on my blog, about generator full rebuild.
It includes diode tests, carbon and ball bearing replacement.
Hope you enjoy!

Re: Oil Thermostat Alternate
Another post excavation :) Yes, many parts of Pinzgauer are Porshe based, like fan or oil thermostat. OIl thermostat is from BEHR brand. Reference number (you can find them on ebay) are : 224 83 000 for 83°C (180° F) oil temp. 224 87 000 for 87°C (190° F) oil temp. Check "behr 224 83 000" ...

Re: New Pinzgauer 712M owner
Sure, this is a big quantity. Unfortunately, Pinzgauer are hungry vehicles, and with an average 18L/Km (13 MPG), you have 1100 Km (685 M), this is sometimes really tricky to drive until next gaz station. In Egyptia or in southern Morroco, you can run for a very long time on your own tank. For seat, ...

OK, you're right. With such high voltage, ohm law won't change much.

Thanks Stekay for your answer.Stekay wrote:Wont matter except to your radio's. It's just to damp electromagnetic interference. So yes, go with the resistor plugs.
And what about spark quality? Having a 15K resistor give worth spark than 5K.

Re: New Pinzgauer 712M owner
Location added
This is a 712M, with a fiberglass hardtop on it. I think a previous owner scout for a hard top and put it.
Then, he added a hard expandable tent on the top.
Side door is also a bit strange. It's a shorten version of regular one.
By now, this 712M look like more a 712K

Spark plug resistor value
Hi everybody, I'm rebuilding a 712M, and now dealing with distribution. On this vehicle, it's a military distributor hooked on civilian wires and spark plug connector. By now, connectors have 10K resistor. Spark plugs have no resistor (NGK BP5ES). On technical manual, they say a 10K - 15K resistor i...
