That wire tool is not a part of the original tool kit, but it does a great job on the mil wire ends. I came to the same conclusion that the handle was a bit long and cut the handle off and put in a new bend to make the handle shorter.

Dave I'm putting my vote in for the Expedition conversion. Always thought a larger size expedition rig would be nice based off a Tatra or Mann 8x8, Lots of room for all the comforts of home.

Just a note about these cutoff's, be very careful not to over tighten them as they tend to buckle at the holes in the threaded area.

Built just that rail you describe, just haven't got around to building the shelves and other accessories yet.

How did you add 1mm to the slave pin? Weld and grind or other?

Thanks for the links, I like the rechargeable units. Also like the Wag Light but need to look into if they are legal in NV for non commercial vehicles.

More info on the light please. Who makes it and model # if possible. Also if your local source sells online let us know the name of the company.

Re: The ridiculous towing laws in the UK
Even thou the laws are a little strange, You should be glad that people have to take a trailer test in the UK. Here in the states any Idiot can tow a trailer with no instruction or clue as to propper techniques. I have witnessed some of the most bizzar and down right stupid things involving trailers...

Aircraft Battery - Anyone using one?
I've been looking at the option of using a Aircraft 24v battery in the Pinz, I've heard that they are designed as a true 24v battery so it would not have the same issues of one of the 12v batteries getting a weaker charge and being prone to failure. Also I think that they are built to a higher stand...

I don't see how these can be banned for export when you can buy them through retail outlets. Yes you would pay full retail price but I can go down to my local Trucklite dealer and order a set.

Re: L.E.D. Headlights installed today!!!!
I never had a problem with the original lights, they just aren't as bright as most new cars equipped with HID's. The originals are bright enough if you’re out away from the city lights. My thing was the longer life and vibration resistance of the LED's. Thou accidents do happen so I got an extra set...

Re: L.E.D. Headlights installed today!!!!
I bought the last two sets of lights that guy on eBay had, and am happy with what I received. Glad to hear the install is so simple, can't wait to get mine in as well.

Re: Lights size and depth.
Pete if you feel so inclined, when you do the LED install take some pictures and notes for a install write-up. I've just ordered 2 sets of these and wouldn't mind a heads up on how to install them, seems pretty straight forward but we all know how that is.
