RPM on the highway ?????
recently i plugged a tachmeter in my 712, and was seeing 3000 RPM at only 40 MPH (5TH GEAR)...i was wondering.. are you guys hitting redline to keep up on the highway at 55MPH or what??

by no means i would swap the engine in my pizgauers.!! never !! i consider my trucks a treasure the way they are!! it would be like like putting a CASIO electronics on a ROLEX watch!!!

cant find detailed pictures of engine swaps in Pinzgauer,,,, anybody here has ??? i would like to see how they manage to swap regular watercooled engines on a pinz (710 ,712).... i was wondering cause the transmission on this vehicles is off-centered... :?: :?: :?:

thanks guys.... i just leave it alone the way it is..i also want to add a winch and more stuff to the front bumper eventually.... nobody ever notice that but me..... besides .. it looks faster on the road!!!

i have no idea, but is not that heavy,,, i just think they sag due to age....or the front spring are from a newer truck??? is my front end higher tan normal??? wondering

is equiped as a motorhome, and it has more weight in the back i believe......but the front end is higher.....

need to raise about 2 or 3 inches the rear suspensión on my 712 to level it..... what is the best way to go?. removing the leaf springs is as easy as it looks???can i add shims to the leafsprings ends??? ,re-shape them?? thank in advance!!!...........

my 712 also have a 2.7 with no mods on the exhaust , besides a Factory specs stainless Steel muffler,,,..

mines has a 2 inches pipe from the muffler to the tip, theres no pipe between the muffler and heat exch. is bolted neck to neck

a technique question.......
lets say youare driving(mudding) on your pinz 4x4, what would be your choice of gear when aproaching to a big,long,deep puddle of mud??, thinking that you need some momentum to go through, would you choose low range on 2nd or 3rd gear,,, or 1st gear on high range??
