Two trucks are running with the system... A third fired up this weekend. Most people that bought the system are waiting for better weather to do the work to their trucks. Jim, you are a well experienced Pinzgauer Technician. It is okay for you to time yourself when doing an installation, but thats n...

Alan, that was a very well prepared post and I concur with the majority of those statements as my experience with the Pinz and data gathered from it and many other FI equipped engines seems to parallel your statements. I never anticipated using sequential for a Pinz application. It didn't cross my m...

I would hope the SDS system is as robust and the other EFI Pinz owners get to enjoy the benefits of EFI for a long time I have 85 engines running SDS, the smallest of these is the Pinz, most others feed 150-330 HP aircooled engines, one has fed over 500HP and now we are doing another that will be 7...

45 degrees, spraying directly at the tulip of the intake valves.

This was not my intake set up, it belonged to Herbert Krois- I was just using it for comparative analysis when selecting gathering data.

Our injectors are located near the parting line of the intake/plenum. We tested a plenum with the injectors only 1" up the intake tract (as close as possible) and the benefits were not worth the compromise of fire hazard, maintenance and installation difficulty. The Pinz manifolds are very diff...

My system optimized with a 24 lb injector with the V3 Plenum.. All my kits were shipped with a 24 pound injector because I liked the injector working a bit harder, atomizing the fuel a bit better.. especially at low speeds at heavy load. The #30 probably works better for Jim due to his injector loca...

I saw 325F most of the time.. Up to 400 pulling long hills in the summer

In the fins I measured a 150F difference, but thats not very accurate since there are so many different places the sensor could be mounted in the fins.

Under the plug is the data that we use for comparative purposes.

Yep I am fully aware of those challenges.... I ended up using the K type units from my Dyno to do the test work... The plug holes are very deep and very tight..

I ended up using JB weld to affix the TC to the area around the plug hole, so it would stay in place at plug changes.. That worked well.

You may be seeing temperatures well over 100F lower than the spark plug area with the senders in the cooling fins, that far from the chamber.

Been there, done that with 26 sensors and a data logger on the same engine.. The fins are the coolest running portion of the head.

DVD is edited.. Just needs a file conversion that I am not smart enough to do... Its getting done on Tuesday, then it will be distrubuted to the kit owners.. As for relaxation- No way! The EFI kit was the final "iroon" in my fire that had to get out of the way before I can go onto to bigge...

Travis, my shipper entered all email addresses into the Fed Ex system, but sme people have had their tracking updates go to a SPAM fi;lter since they come from Fed Ex and appear as junk at times. Your kit was shipped as well, ALL the kits have been gone for over a week now.. It appears that all kits...
