Mazda Miata seats are a great alternative. height is about the same at Pinz seats and can be adapted to the pinz bases.

Honestly, I thought it was hard to remove them until I tried putting the damn things back in with the sqare plates. I spent over an hour trying after replacing my side pannels and finnaly just gave up...

long shot but I was dealing with a bit of hesitation from idol as well and before I was going to go through it,reballance and adjust my carbs I ran a bottle of Seafoam through the tank. Not sure what it did but the thing no longer has the hesitation problem.

Not a bad idea, just check with your state on what the max alowable width is. Also remeber when off roading these will be the first places that will snag. Yes they need to be the same. If you dont want to rereplace your new ones you just ordered go to a buy a set of jet files or go to race engine builer and see if they have a set you can borrow. They are about $15 for an econo set. I like to "fine tune" my VW carbs with files. a pair of 210'...

I am still waiting, the tracking info he provided states it made it to the US on the 28th of December, but it is still not to my door yet.
