Re: Show me your box!
Those are some nice boxes, though suprised no one has made one out of sheet metal. If welding aluminum is not an option in home shops, a basic frame out of 3/4 L iron and then attaching aluminum tredplate to the sides. If I needed one that is the way I would do it. My K has three backwards facing se...

Not being a Halfy owner, but versed in air cooled motors, your timing should be set exactly the same as that of a stock distributor with traditional points

While not a Haffy or in the states there is also a Laplander on the auction site for sale if anyone is interested. It is in the UK though.

Re: removing a stripped drain plug
I was going to order those, but EI did not offer the exaust nut and washer I also needed. So I ordered from SAV instead. Didn't want to pay 2 shipping charges for such minimal amounts of stuff. I like to support EI first but I also like to only have to order from one company at a time.

Re: removing a stripped drain plug
So do you think they were drilled out and that is why Helicoils were used? I am hoping that I can get it out without having to do that.

removing a stripped drain plug
Today I was preping my truck for some travels I have planned, when attempting to check and top off the axles the right rear stripped out. It is one of the steel ones and not the brass ones. I went ahead and placed an order with SAV to get a new one, but am in need of a way to get the stuck one out. ...

Re: Tire pressure
If the tires are still in good shape and you are not ready to replace them, then experiment with pressures. Tube tires can be ran alot lower then tubeless but I would suspect for road driving around 25psi would be about as low as I would go. In off road rock crawling mode you could drop them all the...

I changed my fluids about 4 months ago. I sucked it out of my stearing box with a brake vacuum pump.

Re: how do you remove the front door hinge pins?
I bought this tool at the same time when I bought the stearing wheel press. both are tools I rarely use but when I need them they are priceless. The stearing wheel remover has saved more then one wheel from being damaged. and the pin removal tool does so without chipping the paint.

Re: how do you remove the front door hinge pins?
If anyone is struggling with there pin removal, I have a hinge pin press that takes them out effortlessly, It is kinda like a modified C clamp specifically made to drive them out.
