Buy the gear lube in gallon bottles. They sell pumps that fit where the cap is and have clear plastic tubes for reaching the fillers.

You could also have a carbon buildup on the heads and pistons. We use to pour water down the carb a running engine at operating temps, the water would cystallize the carbon and blow it out the exhaust.
Also retard the timing a bit.

I do not know the diameter of the Volvo 8 bolt pattern, but US 3/4 and 1 ton trucks use a 8 on 6.5" pattern , so if one truck fits, they all fit..... only exception is some of the factory rims that have a slightly smaller center hub hole.

Mogs and LR 101 use the same 6 bolt lug pattern.
