Anyone tried NGK Iridium spark plugs?
I'm wondering if NGK Iridium spark plugs would provide any better performance/longevity over the standard plugs. The standard plug is BP6ES, non resistor, while the Iridium BPR6EIX is a resistor plug. The resistor is there for noise suppression, or so they say. Is a resistor plug detrimental in a Pi...

dokatd,
Where are you? The neighborhood reminds me of Dallas, TX in the winter, though I guess you are a world apart from there.

Switch state diagrams
I'm trying to run down the reason my turn signal flasher relay is only getting 9 volts with the ignition switch 'on' and the turn signal lever in either the LH or RH position. I replaced the original flasher with the SAV electronic replacement and there isn't enough voltage to get it working. If I p...

Re: Old oil.
Ugly Goo! I wonder what the oil pump, valve gallery and main bearing passages (mains are gravity fed) look like. That driver is lucky he didn't create a pile of scrap. Change interval on the Model A was every 500 miles.

Re: Decoding a 7 digit Pinz VIN
I requested a build sheet on my vehicle yesterday and the fee is a whopping 90 Euro !!! When I first read the post I thought it said "free", but I should have known. What does the build sheet include? Is it worth the euros? Who did you contact? I used the general query link on the website...

Re: How to Reset Brake Light?
Bleed front brake circuit completely while ignoring the warning valve signal.
Have someone in the driver's seat apply brake pedal pressure and crack a bleeder fitting on one side at the wheel cylinder until the light goes out. If the first side doesn't do it, crack a bleeder on the opposite side.

Re: Toe in
Per the service manual: toe-IN (closer at the front) = 2-4 mm measured on the rim flange at hub centerline. Measure flange to flange at the rear and front between the front wheels. The front measurement should be 2-4 mm less than the rear measurement. Wheels should be straight ahead. There are a cou...

Re: Are there 2 types of drive-shafts? Or maybe after marke
If one were not reluctant to deviate from stock, a shaft from Tom Woods Custom Driveshafts might be just the ticket - for approx. half the price of a used shaft from SAV. A double cardan (CV) shaft (or double-double) would do wonders with the stock shaft geometry. http://www.4xshaft.com/ Yes, they s...
