Re: corbeau seats
Here are a few pics. I made a mounting plate for the seats that is 1/4 thick aluminum. This has no adjustment but I'm the only one that drives the truck and i put them where i like them. The sliding rails put the seats uncomfortably high. The seats are about 6" off the sheet metal at the front ...

Re: Truck died...
Berger, your truck is sure giving you a workout and a sharp learning curve. Thank god for this forum or many of us would be in trouble. Lucky for you that you were able to convince the dispatcher for a tow. I had to have my 712 towed home once and the AAA driver refused to tow it as it was a "m...

Re: corbeau seats
Bernhard,
So the A4's fit, even on the passenger side? How did you mount them? What is the height from the truck sheet metal to the seating surface? Any photos available?
thank you
Michael

Re: not runnig good ,, help please!!!
It always comes down to three variables: 1. mechanical, 2. electrical, 3. fuel. Can you eliminate ALL possibilities in one or more of these systems? If not, it's still a shot in the dark. For example, I had this symptom years ago, and it became worse even after I started checking and going through t...

Re: Possible replacement turn signal switch?
I purchased the same aftermarket part from the same company earlier this year. I returned it without installing it as I found it to be flimsy and not well made compared to the real thing. I hope that yours is better.

Re: Fuel Solenoids...
Quick, cheap FIX for a bad solenoid? I hadn't started my truck for awhile, and when I did, it was running rough. I have EGT and CHT gauges, and they indicated #1 was discrepant. Checked the solenoid and sure enough, it wasn't working. New $175, and NA. Used still $$$, and I plan to switch to FI this...

Re: Sprinter/Freightliner Seats on eBay
Interesting discussion, and thanks for the photos. From someone who has installed these: what is the measurement from the "deck" to the top of the bottom sitting surface. I'm only 6' 5", so every millimeter counts.
thanks
thanks

Re: First Oil Change
Hold a plastic bag over the filter as you unscrew it and you will capture most of the oil instead of your driveway. Don't over tighten it either (don't ask me how I know).

Re: What did I fry?
SUCCESS! Ya need to love problem solving to keep these trucks going, and you need to belong to this great forum for answers. I checked and rechecked my prior work, but with the same results. I ended up running a new power lead to the ignition switch, and VOLLA, lights, action. I permanently ran anot...

What did I fry?
I installed new headlights and all went well until I accidentally let the parking light short out. Everything was fine up until that time. After the ZAP, no lights, no dash lights, no starter, turn signals, nothing. Batteries are fully charged, and I'm getting 24+ volts at the starter. However, when...
