Re: Locker engagement/release question

This is not what many of you think it is. It's a battery bulb syringe with the nozzle bent with the help of a heat gun to go through the blank gauge port to fill/suck out the hydraulic fluid reservoir behind the dash. Has worked for me quite well. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3YeTMCl0AmA/VAoy1...

Re: Door Locks - Why so expensive???

Brilliant, Ed!
Thanks for discovering and clearly posting this.
Do you think it was one of those cleverly designed items by the.Pinzgauer engineers to keep enemy troops out, or just a fortuitous placement of rods and screws?

Re: My latest bumper sticker

I got a dirty look from a Seattle-ite after I parked next to her Subaru at a trail head a few years ago. I smiled and said "Hi" and by the look on her face she seemed to have smelled something very bad then asked me what that "thing" was. I politely told her it was the new "...

Re: rub rails

As a wood worker, I'll be interested to see how the top edge of the wooden rail holds up over time. If I read the cross section correctly, you have the rabbet cut for the metal bracket only about a 1/4 inch under the top angled cut of the wooden rail. Might be a weak point as it runs parallel with t...

Re: NMS Airshow Scotland

Now, I know it's really ScottishPinz. Back to his old style.
Was worried there for a while. :D
BTW, I think that wearing goggles while driving the Pinz is rather stylish, and further sets us apart from the motoring world.

Re: Biggest POS ever?

I remember a post years ago on this site in which someone in a state government (Wisconsin?) said that a Pinzgauer was so ugly, that it should not be allowed on the road. Like a mother, someone created and thought this was a good idea at one time. Beauty is, apparently, in the eye of the beholder. :?

Re: Center consoles

I have used King Starboard with very satisfying results. Works like wood, can use regular routers/saws. Screws and pre-drilling are needed for secure joinery, but now they claim to have a glue for it as well. Only problem is the black dust/shavings make quite a static electric mess, but clean up wit...
