Re: Andre's rear seat frame for e track
The red hose is scat flex hose for the hot air from the webasto heater. You can direct the heat where it is needed. The original articulated aluminum hose doesn't like getting crushed. The silicone scat is much more forgiving. The bolster on the seat is about 2 1/2 to three inches above the deck. So...

Andre's rear seat frame for e track
Here are some photos of Andre's e track mounted rear seats. The beauty of this system is that they can be moved front to back, and the original troop seats need not be removed, in fact they can be left up in front of the frame to allow access for feet to the floor, or down as in these pictures. They...

Re: West coast fab tour 2014
I am very interested in seeing what and how the final design turned out on the rear seats!! Need more info on the new EFI maps as well - was that due to the new transfer case addition? New EFI maps were for cold start-up in colder climates, (Jim, correct me if I'm wrong). Transfer case makes better...

Re: West coast fab tour 2014
I can't thank Andre, Anthony and Jim L. enough for the quick supplies, new EFI map, and unexpected rebuild of the fuel system in addition to the transfer case swap and rear rust control on my truck over the past couple of weeks. It literally drives like a car now. Don't know if its the 710 transfer ...

Re: Meet up / BBQ & Beer now on SUNDAY March 9th at 2PM
Chris was a wonderful host, with great BBQ and beer. Meeting our local Pinzgauer enthusiasts was a treat, and having Andre and his son Anthony visit was a pretty good reason to have a treffen. After the rain abated, we took a run up the mountain behind the garage with a French mule, Halflinger, 710M...

Jim,So, Andre', has Ed broke out the good scotch yet?
You told me his religious beliefs forbade any scotch, and to keep
that bottle for you!?
Does that apply to the cigars too?
Hey, if the transmissions are interchangeable, I want a diesel automatic on mine!

Re: West coast fab tour 2014
Honored to have Andre and Anthony with us in the Arlington/Snohomish area. What a difference that diesel tranny makes in a 710! We spent the day shoveling out a a kindly donated barn -turned into a make-shift Pinzgauer surgery, where a 712 to 710 transfer case-transplant is about to be performed. Ho...

Just a moment off the subject: My wife and I went Falconing with a friend last week. A fascinating subject and sport to watch- unless your the rabbit. We had a great time. He is currently training 9 falcons to keep the starlings out of a commercial blueberry farm on Whidbey Island. https://lh5.googl...

Re: Tuff River Tops - Infomation Request
Mine would be rolled up 99% of the time, trapping in water and organic material in the outward facing twist. How can i avoid damage? 1. Make the windows removable with a velcro seal. Tuff River does this, works great. The screen is permanent install and the windows go right over them. You can keep ...

Re: Tuff River Tops - Infomation Request
any chance you could post a picture of the area your referencing in #3 The only pictures I have right now are from the outside: look at the lower hem of the curtain as it comes forward, and raises just at the gas cap. That is the area where the curtain pulls slightly away from the bed rail. Doesn't...

Re: Tuff River Tops - Infomation Request
Reccomendations after having one (and loving it) for about 5 years: 1. rear window should be like the side ones, ie: removable with velcro. My rear window is the only one sewn in, which means that when the most abused piece of vinyl on the truck needs replacing, the whole top has to come off. 2. rep...

Not to take away from the technology, condition and wow factor, all this technology and you want to know how to honk the horn
It's just that I see a nut on the steering wheel and no horn button or wiring for such.
