sounds like the cutoff valves at the carb lost power to them. Check connections or breaker.

Did you all murder any doves this week? We had rain right before the first day and it usually blows them south for a week or so. Numbers were way down. Andy I will be over 100 by the time the weekend is out. Trying to get ready for duck opening day in a couple of weeks. We found a spot where you ha...

Andy, The delorme units are nice units and once you get used to using them are just as efficient. For what ever reason seems the garmins just "feel" easier to use IMHO. My 176's came with metro usa and bluechart which has been enough for me. I am not familiar with the newer *76 series but ...

most likely a weak breaker but simple to check. switch the wires from the problem breaker with another breaker. If the breaker at the new location continues to pop then you know it is an electrical issue. If the old breaker continues to pop you will need to decide on which option you want to pursue.

I like having the volt meter showing when driving down the highway. The memory has been increased in the newe...

fortunately for that driver he only had his 9yr old in the front seat. The family stayed at camp. Funny story behind that flop though. Everyone was sitting around at camp that evening and the guys wife had remarked how he had not flopped a truck over since getting the 712. He had done is several tim...

just drive them regularly. Great thing about being in a mild climate zone I guess.

On the serious side, for my boat I use a battery maintainer. It is hooked up on the boat and keeps the batteries fresh and charged for when I want to head out to the lake.

the tire pressure recommendation in the book was for the bias ply original tires. You should be following the tire manufacturers recommended pressure on your tires for highway use. When I had the Trxxus on my 712 I ran 52lbs and it hanle very well. The steering and the gas mileage is also greatly im...

Yeah the clamps are just oetiker clamps. I use a tile nipper which is very similar to the tool the clamp company uses except it has carbide edges. Very easy and simple to install.

Here is a link to the clamps and tool. These are not all that expensive. The rubber cord is available at upholstery shops. The cord is very inexpensive so a quick measurement following the old routing and add some extra, then cut to length.

don't know how water proof these are but they do sell a boot that screws on over them to keep the water and dust out. I have had mine wet many times from using a garden hose to clean out the inside of the truck but never submerged the breakers. IMHO the best place for the fuses/CB's for accessories ...
