And just my opinion, but I would drop that snow plow before the roll cage. And not the worst rims either, would probably look better with some off-road tires, if you can find some to fit.
I am biased though, I always sort of lusted after that truck. I hope you keep us posted on the progress!

Re: 'Mad Iris' The Pinzgauer - Fiat Croma combo build
You crazy SOB, you did it! Hopefully, you stole it (i.e. got a good price) I definitely second the idea to look over hoses and lines. Make sure you get into looking at all the hydraulic systems, check the rubber parts behind the locker panels (first repair I did on my ruck, those seem to fail). On t...

What's the deal with messages sitting in the "outbox" for days? Is there a trick or something I need to do to get these to send?

Re: Knuckle Wipe Seal Replacment
I was able to clean up that knuckle joint and I did check the oil in the hub. I would say, the hub was down somewhere between 1-2 oz of oil. Thankfully, it did not seem like it was a large failure and may have been more of a blow off event. I was able to tighten up those small bolts that hold the sc...

Knuckle Wipe Seal Replacment
I've been using my truck more and after fixing my battery problem something else has cropped up. I parked the truck after another 200 mile drive and the next morning I noticed my garage smelled a little funny. Gear oil. Looking under the truck, I am guessing it is my Knuckle wipe seal, see pics. I w...

Re: PinzFDS now available
Pinzinator, I sent you a PM but it's sitting in my outbox? No clue, but heads up, you should get something from paypal from me. I added my address in the note, send whenever you get back. A check-valve wont solve the issue of evaporation from the carbs, plus, if your tubing is older or pinch clamps ...

Re: PinzFDS now available
This has always been my issue. I don't drive the truck daily, or even weekly. I would say, I average 20-30 seconds of cranking to get the carbs full/start the truck. Once the carbs are full, the trucks starts easily. It's not really an issue, I just feel bad for the old girl to have to crank so much...

Re: Batteries not charging over 3k RPM
Man, I feel like I dodged a bullet here.
Sourced a few grade-8 metric nuts from Napa and reassembled (after cleaning up the grounding points). The charging light is off and the batteries are charging again.
Love when it's easy but still fell a little silly for posting this!

Re: Batteries not charging over 3k RPM
Looking again at the issue over lunch, I noticed cylinder 1 is missing both nuts that hold the intake manifold on, conversely, where my alternator is grounded. I will source some nuts and see if that fixed the issue.

Batteries not charging over 3k RPM
Good afternoon all. Thankfully, my truck doesn't give me many issues, but this one came up over the weekend. Had to drive my truck about 200 miles round trip. First issue I noticed, my speedo was not working (not sure if related). About halfway through, my generator light started flickering intermed...

Re: Smartcar seat airbags
Did this over the weekend. Was able to remove the airbags and then put the plastic housing back in the seat, so it looks like it did, just no surprises.
Very easy to do
