No sound (noise) problem with my 710k!
It is a bit tight for head room but its my legs that are long and there's plenty of space to stretch out...

The manual suggests running the heater every month to keep it working, so even if you plan to use it only in emergencies I would give it a blast from time to time. Mine smelled a lot at first but it was just the seals on the exhaust and an old wasps nest in the heater pipe!

Badger you are doing the right thing, looking at all the options, asking lots of questions, but you really need to see and sit in one of these vehicles. Unless you are very short (I'm 197cm that's 6'5") you will neither stand in or sleep across the width of any Pinzgauer. Petrol v diesel is mor...

My Pinz is 1976 710k, I have insulated it but it was quiet even before. The engine/fan/transmission causes most of the noise but its not a lot, at slow speeds you can almost not hear it, great for sneaking around in woodland.

Thanks for again reminding me how lucky I am. I have a really quiet pinz and can easily talk at 55mph + with my passenger, even if they are sitting in the back its not too hard!

Yes hard top 6x6 for sure, same here in UK, what it would have been interesting to see is HOW much MORE than a 710m these are worth!
