Re: Shifter linkage
I did talk to Scott and ordered the parts I needed from him. He said that he did not sell the flex pipe an recommended SAV. I have a hard time finding the parts on the EI website, but their prices seem to be better. Both have good service, but Scott seems the most knowledgable.

Re: Shifter linkage
I am still waiting for the plastic bushings, but have overhauled everything else. I rebuilt the hand lever assembles, changed the rod end on the big piece, put a good jury rig on both ends of the dog bone. Shifts very well now.

Re: EZ power steering
I am paying a bit less than that in exchange for documenting the installation. I think they are making out like bandits, but I do not think there is a better or cheaper way to do it. The unit is 24 volts and can be either positive or negative ground. They seem good at answering questions. The only t...

Re: Tire pressure
On my other truck I use 28 psi when I am staying local but put them up to 36 if I go on the highway. The truck handles a lot better with higher pressure but the lower air pressure is much more comfortable on the dirt roads. My guess is that I will do something similar with the Pinzgauer. I am surpri...

Re: EZ power steering
I ordered the unit. They say they have had about 10 Pinzgauer installs but do not have instructions.

Re: Tire pressure
My door plate indicates 2 atu in th front and 1.7 in the back. I believe that is about 28 and 24 psig respectively, much less than what people are indicating they use. I cannot find any info on the tires carrying capacity as a function of psi, but judging by the way other tires respond I think I nee...

Re: Pro
The repair manual indicates there is a spot to put one on the transmission. The hole that the mounting bracket covers looks like the place I had PTOs on my Dodges. I am having a hard time figuring any other reason for a hole there

Re: Shifter linkage
I tried to order the bushings from SAV but was told that these only fit the "old style" linkage. Can anybody tell me how to tell the old style from the new style linkage?

Tire pressure
I have 33" x 14.5" x 17" tires on Dick Cepac wheels on my 710 and am currently running 28 psi. I feel like they are over inflated, particularly in the back. I was wondering if anybody had experience with a similar set up and what tire pressure they ended up with on road and off.

Blinker indicator on dash
I thought my blinkers were not working because there was only intermittent operation of the indicator light on the panel. I pulled the switch and it seemed ok and when I put it back together I found the blinker lights were but the bulb inside was not. I messed with the indicator light itself and it ...
