It's probably almost as loud as our Pinz engine. :D

BTW, this constitutes a serious WTF engineering moment.

When my buddy puts his K into his garage he must flatten the tires some. My K has no chance of fitting into my garage, way too tall. I might get an M in if I flatten the tires but no chance with the K.

Mine started to rip long ago so I took them off. Looks way cooler without them, assuming you have good tires. My buddy has a 404, he said: "If it falls off it stays off" or "I didn't need it anyway". We kind of live by that motto. Of course I tend to trailer my Pinz, if I drove i...

My buddy has a 3/4 ton Suburban with a 454 that he tows his 404 Unimog with. He put airbags in the back and it does surprisingly well. A 712 would be easy and a 710M easier still. I've got a 3/4 ton Silverado with the little 6 liter engine. It gets the same mileage pulling my 710K as it does around ...

I'm just bummed I didn't incur the wrath of Vince  I really need to try harder I guess. It must have been the LEDs.

Been watching Red Green for years, used to wear his suspenders and flannel shirt to work on Halloween.

I installed a Toyotomi portable AC in my Pinz when I first got it. It only drew 400 watts for 4000 BTU. It worked surprisingly well for camping and had its own adjustable timer for automatic shut off. I ran it on a 2000 watt 24 volt inverter. The inverter has a low voltage shutoff to insure I didn't...

This turn of events deeply saddens me. This combined with our current economic problems, the media's concentration on Michael Jackson's funeral rather than the Cap and Trade bill in Congress, and watching Barney Frank now claim that deregulation of the rules for home loans needs to happen, i.e. the ...

I used half inch closed cell foam from home depot or lowes. It has a silver side. It is fairly rigid. Works well but you definitely need the right adhesive, especially if you put it up before you paint the top white! I will see if I can find what adhesive I used. There is one type of 3M that won't w...

Is that closed cell foam? The biggest thing I did with my top is to paint it white! After that I found I really didn't need any insulation.

For anyone interested, you can view our progress from Houston to Big Bend through the park and back via this link http://tinyurl.com/nqtmff There's no info yet, but tomorrow morning it'll start showing us moving (slowly). Very cool, I think the new Car Czar requires that on all new automobiles, esp...

That's not really on your side, that's actually called a sleeping Pinz. It was just napping. :D

Very pretty trails, you're going to need to get a snorkel so you can go around the next Samurai that blocks the trail though.
