Hello Russ, It's been a while! Yes waterproofing is a primary concern for some of us. I'll be posting a video of water being sprayed on the EFI controller in my truck while driving. Submersion testing would be unlikely extreme, but the controller & connectors are all gasketed (including ignitio...

Eric, 1977 was the year I was born, can't say I remember Carter. Russ, or any one in Alan's area seen his or driven EFI pinz? I haven't seen any EFI units. Thought Wayne R said he was getting one at one point. I don't think he went down that road. My only concern with EFI is waterproofing it!...

Well, here in FL, I've driven to a few feet below sea level (in fresh water) to a whopping 190 ft above while traveling across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and 345 ft above sea level at Britton Hill, the highest point in FL. :D So how much silicon and liquid plastic is required to seal up that EFI for...

My 20 lashings are coming from both parties, the one that deregulated too far and the other that pushes loans to the unqualified.

My door seals work pretty well. Water does come in pretty bad through the drain holes when I'm in really deep water. When my son opens the back door it often FLOODS in. Of course this typically gives me better traction since I'm no longer floating.

OH, you mean rain... my bad.

I miss that old board. Lost a lot of posts when it crashed or was attacked, not sure which now.

Alternate to AC

Has anyone seen one of these yet? Thermoelectric cooling of the seat by circulating cool water.

Their other offerings look interesting too.

I use the ACME screw binders. They don't come undone :D Unfortunately they don't fold down as neatly either. The straps I had were 10K lb. I could still use them so long as I also used a chain in the back. I found that just chaining down was faster than the straps though and definitely secure. I'd d...

Thanks for the pictures. That is how I was planning on attaching when I modify the trailer. Putting 10K lb loops on it soon. I will then upgrade chains to grade 70 from the grade 43 I have now. I'll just use the grade 43 chains as backup. I do like the J hooks too. Thought about that in the past.

I drove mine everywhere for about 5 years. I still drive to a few local things but I love my Swampers and they are very happy in the dirt and mud. Pavement, not so much. Of course the original post was about flat towing, not whether you should drive or tow. :D BTW, when I was still driving my Pinz i...

I thought about doing this when I first bought my Pinz. I changed my mind for the following reasons: 1) Wear and tear on much of the drive train. I typically only drive the Pinz at 55 but it is possible to tow at a much higher speed. Why put the strain on 30+ year old portal axles, etc. 2) A braking...
