Re: Second radiator behind a flap
I'm pretty sure your referring to your heater core...in cold whether you use the flap to block airflow over it resulting in warmer air in the cabin and the idea is in warmer weather if you let airflow through the core/small radiator then the air in the cab shouldn't be too unbearably hot. The first ...

Re: In search for a big rig!!
Where in oz are you? Perhaps you can put your location in your profile. For Volvo's I can vouch for Joacim from Coat Ex AB in Sweden, I shipped two ex ambulances (6x6's) about two years back. Sold the extra one only a few months ago, I can highly recommend him as both vehicles were in outstanding co...

Re: Parabolic springs anyone?
Gday Hoss, I just spotted this topic and I'm wondering how you went with generating interest regarding a group buy for parabolic springs? I'd go in on some if something eventuates. Mines a 6x6 so I would only really need a front set but I would take two sets....ie. There are two 6x6's over here that...

Re: POLY CV Boots
I can't comment on whether or not its a common failure but I have a torn shift boot on my c304, any rubber will deteriorate with age and tear eventually. Considering the shipping cost probably won't change it would be worth while to get one of each in my opinion....maybe two diff lock diaphragms if ...

Re: Anyone know anything about this Ebay Pinz?
"Nothing exists that will work with stock hubs and wheels" Thanks Jim, you just saved me from wasting some time. Not that I'm in a hurry to get discs as my drums have been really quite good. But I have had it in the back of my mind to one day go and check out some Transit van discs at a lo...

Re: 718k just appeared on ebay
Is just me or is the roof on this K droopy in the middle? Like a banana. Maybe this ones had excessive weight on the Steyr roofrack, I don't think its just the photo angle though, something's wrong. Edit: I just looked a bit closer and the centre door is definitely dropped and is sagging in the door...

Re: Treadwright...no 255/85r16s/ Swamper LTB 34s?
I was lucky in that my 712 came to me with two sets of wheels and tyres both with about 70% tread left, one set are Simex JT's 33x10.5 which are bias ply the other set are BF Goodrich M/T 255x85 obviously radials, both are basically equally sized in that they're a skinny 33. If I had to choose one s...

Re: Carb Rebuild - Mark in metal question
Gorsko, No I think they are referring to what I'd call "mixture screws" ....the two screws near the base of each carb have been overtightened and punched their way through the carb body. Quite incredible to see that level of damage and hard to believe someone would exert that much force wh...

Re: NZ army Protectors x4
So does that mean this one was retro fitted with the 2.5 TDI?
I assumed it was a P93 because of the EBD, ABS and wading mode etc. Were these electronic aids standard to some pre P93 models or was it also a retro fit?
Thanks for helping to make some sense regarding these variants.

http://www.mod-sales.com/vehicle/search/77700/Pinzgauer_.htm Here's a very nice 716k/3 door (mk?) That has a 5 cylinder 2.5 and reads direct from UK air force. Very nice example of a TD/P93 with only a little over 5000miles on speedo. Here's hoping the 718's are just as nice when they start releasin...

Re: NZ army Protectors x4
Thanks for digging that up David. I suppose regarding which engines were used it really depended on what individual clients ordered, in this case NZ may have been able to choose from the 2.5 VW or the Steyer. Like you I'd like to "assume" the Steyer was fitted but "who knows?" :?...
