Re: Started video documentation for the C303 restoration!
UPDATE: Well, I got the brackets cut and welded using the multiplaz thingy. I cut flush the old flanges that the seat backs mounted to, cut and welded a 1/8" bar across the width, then plasma cut mounting holes at the four corners. After a bit of grinding and cleaning with the die grinder, I fi...

Excellent! I will be in touch via PM once I figure out what I want to get from you, will need some time to figure out what I can afford, though initially my brain says GET ALL TEH THINGS! Hopefully I will not screw up the seat brackets, but no telling how it will go. I will be in touch!

Started video documentation for the C303 restoration!
Finally got around to beginning my restoration of the C303, my Zombie Apocalypse Response Vehicle. I will be documenting the project with videos on my youtube channel. The first few videos are up! Please consider that I have never done restoration of a vehicle, never owned a 4x4, never welded or use...

Re: Multiplaz 3500 welder/cutter - Anyone used one of these?
There are a good number of youtube videos showing non-company people (at least they appear to be) using this to perform the various cutting and welding jobs that it does if you just search "multiplaz 3500," as well as a variety of company produced vids on how it works. I spent quite a few ...

I don't always get to cast my vote in an election and buy a new rifle all in the same day, but when I do, I like to celebrate my citizenship and rights with a nice glass of Malbec.

Correction: Power consumption on this is 2 kWt for 110v, 3.5 kWt for 220v, I incorrectly wrote 2W and 3.5W before. DURP. Sorry about that!

Multiplaz 3500 welder/cutter - Anyone used one of these?
I was in the market for a mig welding rig and a plasma cutter for the C303 bodywork I want to do, and came across this thing, the multiplaz: http://www.elmia.se/GlobalaFiler/Externa-nyheter/1282/03a58384-bce2-49e0-a929-e60db9db6584.jpg From what the website and some forum reviews I can find of it sa...

I love how you have the bottle of glenlivet and shot glasses set out in proper gentlemanly fashion, then there is an axe mounted just above them. Well played, sir. Well played. "Whilst I may be out in the wilds there is no need to abandon the finer qualities which one can exhibit through the so...

Re: Question/Poll for everyone
Can I get that in VHS? Ok, on a serious note, if it was a showreel - i.e. similar to a composite of youtube videos showing the trucks running around in the mud and some people waving at the camera, beers in hand (albeit in HD quality) - not so much. However, if it was a more in depth look at the veh...

oh thats fantastic news on the possibility of some body parts, particularly the forward cabin! Please let me know if you hear anything! Paying for shipment would be much simpler than trying to fabricate some of those sections. I will have plenty of steel to replace as it is. :) I spent the day searc...

Im jealous! Great idea to compliment some great work. Finishing touches like that make such a difference, and make it yours.
Hope to see you around WA sometime! I'm hoping to pull a few folks together to take over the parking lot of the Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor one of these Saturday afternoons.

Thank you very much, sixbennetts, thats very kind of you to offer. Thats actually one of the few pieces on mine that is pretty solid, though I need to redo the window seals, so the former owner may have replaced that piece already. The trouble spots for me are in the passenger rear floor box and low...
