relocating

Not yet Mike. We are looking at a May move, at the earliest. Went up this last weekend to visit friends. Skys clear and sunny mostly, but cold. People are friendly there, most of the roads we were on were good for pinz and mog speed, 45 to 50. I love it there, but I know I will miss the desert. Chee...

Relocating

I have owned mogs for years. I have now had a pinz for over a year and really like the little green machine. Named it Krick3tt cause the passanger door handle 'chirps' like a crickett. We have just put an offer on a house in Washington state near Kingston. Are there any pinz owners in that neck of t...

tachometer

...later that same week... Just an update. It had been suggested that perhaps the resistor was faulty. I replaced the resistor, no change in behavior of the tach. Good thought but I am now thinking installing a tach may just be one of those things I have spent money on to no good end. On the positiv...

tachometer

I have installed the SAV RPM (tachometer) and it is really curious in its behavior. At 75 kph it 'floats' between 4300 and 5000 rpm, not very accurate in my opinion. That floating depends on if I am going up or down a hill. I expect that up would require more rpm (but really, 5000?) to keep speed bu...

...also check the wire from the + side of starter to coil under the rubber protector. Mine was hanging on by one strand of the wire and often would not start or not run. Just enough juice going through that one small strand at times. FWIW

led lights

Check out GROTE INDUSTRIES, INC. for lights of all types, especially 24v LEDs. Phone in US is 800-628-0809 I have gotten lights for my Mog and pinz there. They have a local outlet in San Diego but the cataloge is for US, Canada and Mexico. Prices are much better than you have mentioned. Cheers, Morris

Carb cutoff valve

Another problem has surfaced with the wonderful machine. Symptoms: Sometimes it diesels and sometimes it won't hold the idle. I think perhaps it is the third (from the front) cutoff valve. When I was balancing the carbs and checking the cutoff valves for operation, the 3rd one clicked just by touchi...

...later that same day. Packages are open and paper is everywhere.

Ok, the number is WWG 333 035 019X volt: 12

There may be a 24 version but I got it from SAV and it is 12v.

AK, Check the 2nd post for the SAV VDO part. I cannot get to the actual tach till later (for VDO number) when everyone is up and we open presents. It is currently 6:30 here and the sun is just coming up. The size of the dash hole I measured this morning is 2 3/8''. The SAV part comes with an adapter...

Merry Christmas to all. My thanks go out to Denis for sending me a very detailed documentary of the installation of a tachometer (RPM). I will be puting it in this next week, as the box is now under the tree as a present. This forum is great, I have access to some very good information and it helps ...

won't start

Read the Dec 10 'Pinz wont start' I had an issue and it was the wire from the + side of coil. Wire gave up the ghost and was hanging on by one strand under the rubber cover. Had extra gas like you.
Good luck
