mirrors

When I bought the pinz from EI, Scott he set me up with a new set of mirrors.
I would bet that he or one of the other vendors can set you up with a replacement unit.

Cheers,
Morris

WINCH MOUNT

Thanks for the tips. I had the winch leads running direct to the battery attachment points in the mog. The Warn 15K had leads exactly the correct length to do that. One went to the battery cut-out switch and one to the connection point on the frame that was direct from the battery. I like the idea o...

winch

Does that mean the winch can only be operational when the engine is running or it that the lead directly from the battery?

Where are the best points for hookup of the supply leads for the power?

Other than welding the nuts after install, is there a way to make this a little more (or at all) theft resistant?

Great pics Michael, almost like I was there. My thanks to the tire changing crew that got me going on the trail so fast after the debeading. My thanks to you for the loan of the spare to get back to SD. Was very comforting insurance. I looked for you when we were leaving but did not see you. We had ...

agenda = fun.
Looks like you are in luck.

I went the first three times owning a mog, this is the first time owning a pinz.

bringing kids

Oh yes, there will be kids there. Kai always brings his 2 and Alan has 4 or more and of course all of 'us' kids with our big toys show up and come out to play. Last time, I tried to count there were at least 8, but they move so fast it is difficult to count accurately. They may slow down a bit for t...

NOT A MOG

Oh, those are very special people, the misinformed. I was told that mine was made by GM now that they had taken over the company. Occasionally someone will say 'Good looking pinz'. But, for the most part it is either 'What is that?' or 'How much did it cost?' or 'Does it float?' There is a great sat...

spare parts

Prof, You must have quite a stash of Landie parts in the back of your pinz. I usually carry fanbelt, cap and rotor, oil for motor and gears (in 5L cans), permatex, light bulbs, the standard pinz stuff (tools, jack, etc) but I got a high lift just in case. Two extra 20L gas cans for long trips secure...

spare parts

I have wheeled with jeep folks and they carry an amazing amount of spare parts for their rigs; drive shafts, sway bars, linkages, radiator hoses and such. I was curious about parts to carry in the pinz, but, most of the parts are, or seem, to be relatively safe from the major carnage simply due to t...

Since it is a Mogfest, Kai posted his address on the mog website for those to send checks for the food. He gets a lot of email and may have not had time to answer. Good idea to be prepared on your own. There is a restaurant and a snack bar in the ghost town but I am not sure of the hours. Also there...

new pinz owner

Congrats on the new addition. I got a pinz and sold the mog, main reason: gas and comfort. I miss the mog but the pinz is great and my lady thinks it is cute and comfortable. I went to the 'pinz clinic' that Dave Dunn held earlier in the year and met Jim. He balanced my carbs and gave me lots of goo...

Fuel filter

Thanks for the input. I have contacted Scott at EI and they stock a kit to clean and recoat the inside. Less than $60, so the risk of getting a used tank and not knowing if I am better off or not is eliminated. I have no dents or holes in mine so far. Relining it seems to be the route to go. I appre...

Thanks,
Replacing the tank, oh yeah....
That sounds really $$$pricy, I know pinz parts are not all available at NAPA.
Any idea of what we are talking about here?
