Re: SAV Swiss Style LED Taillights

Thx David. I cannot get this. The wiring is done exactly like the instructions.....other than the new flasher unit, which guys stated here wasn't needed. Perhaps I should have ordered that unit regardless. I had a mix of functionality, but now that the pink wire, or what looks closest to pink, from ...

Re: SAV Swiss Style LED Taillights

For you guys that installed these LED taillights, could someone explain why the connection at the break reservoir is removed and capped, and the brake wire that was on the brake reservoir extended and reconnected to the headlight terminal? http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/16/darymu6u.jpg I am not rep...

Re: Pinzgauer articulation

I know I am still a rook, but articulation is a good thing. You are a better, or different driver, when piloting a Pins.

How dare you be difficult Morris! Can't you see this is the best stereo anyone could ever install in a Pinzgauer ever?! Not only do I have two ears, I got two eyes too...and even I see that!

Re: Name that oozing substance...

Forgive my ignorance, jack for what exactly? Are you serious? Please tell me your truck DIDN'T come with a hydraulic bottle jack that sits behind the passenger seat, next to the fuel neck, used to change out a flat. It is possible. My truck came from a reputable dealer and it didn't have the OEM ja...

Re: SAV Swiss Style LED Taillights

I had installed new all-red LED truck combo tail / brake lights units into the original Pinzgauer housing - it worked well but the view of them off angle was limited. Looked more like the originals. You don't need to change the flasher if you are only upgrading the rear lights - they front filament...

Re: Hub Steps

I followed Morris' advice and mine have been going strong since. I've made the hub steps made from floor flange and pipe nipple and have had them for years. Made them for about $8 in parts from Home Depot. Put non skid on them and drilled a hole through the end and use a phillips screwdriver to spin...

Re: SAV Swiss Style LED Taillights

Just my $.02 but the stock OEM original lights have more character than any of the LED lights I've seen. Unless you are trying to save AMPs or increase brightness, I'd stay with the originals. The original lights provide poor visibility for following drivers which is why many of us have changed our...

Re: Need advice on what to look for when purchasing a Pinz

One thing I would recommend, is loosening the boots and looking at the inner seals rubber stopper (for lack of a better word). I got mine fully inspected from a dealer and I found some shot rubber and split boots. Must have missed their inspection.

Re: SAV Swiss Style LED Taillights

Those sure look nice, might be time for an upgrade. Like a dumbass....when I replaced the DS rear panel, I forgot to re-insert the rubber grommet on the light when reassembling. Took the truck out this past weekend and noticed the rear lights were not working. Opened up the DS tailight and it was F...

SAV Swiss Style LED Taillights

Has anyone installed the Swiss Style LED tailights from SAV? I am not a huge fan of the newer bar light from the Diesel Pinz, and these look like a great compromise.

Google Images is the enemy! I had to call around a LOT... Them: "No problem sir, Pisgager, sure! I think we have done a few of them before" Me: "That is great news, what do you need?" Them: "Let me check, what is the name again?" Me: "A Pinzgauer pickup" Them...
