Re: Oil pressure switch ?
Can someone kindly share where the existing oil pressure switch is located? Can I use it to drive a relay to turn an electric fuel pump off, in the event I lost engine power?

Re: My Top is leaking!
I have the same issue described in this thread, leaking top by the support bars. I have an extra sacrificial top I can use to make patches, but I'm wondering what epoxy I should use to secure the patches and create the seals. Any suggestions? I've seen the Tear-aid product, but seems it's more for t...

Re: truck won't move
Thanks for the suggestions! I will obviously have epoxy on the brake housing and the drive case. Will this be a problem should I ever attempt to remove the brake housing again?

Re: truck won't move
The brake went back on without issue (too much issue anyway). I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure the gaping hole on the front of the brake housing is the culbrit for all of the water and corrosion inside of the brake housing. The obvious fix would be to replace the housing, but that seems really e...

Re: truck won't move
Thanks again to everyone that contributed. I disassembled and removed the e-brake from the Pinz. Once I did that the vehicle moved freely again. I didn't know what I was looking at as I took it apart, so I can't say what exactly was happening with the brake, but I think logic would dictate that dirt...

Re: truck won't move
How will I know if the parking brake is disengaging completely? I can see the spring loaded lever in the back of the truck move with the brake handle in the front. The plunger on the witches hat doesn't move much, but it moves in and out w the lever. Any advice in that regard would be helpful. I wil...

Re: truck won't move
Thanks for the reply Josh. Yes, I verified this by checking both the high and low range. It definitely feels like it's trying to push against something. I hope that makes sense. It's almost like I'm physically nosed up against a wall and as I release the clutch it feels like the truck wants to lurch...

truck won't move
Hi folks, I recently returned from Treffen where my truck ran great. I've never had any drivetrain problems, until I returned. Nothing unusual happened at Treffen. The week after I returned and my truck had been sitting I started my truck and attempted to put it in reverse to back out of my spot. It...

Re: Foreign object in oil pan
Thanks Jim! It looks like it's damaged. Any idea about how that might have happened? Should I expect more parts to flush out? Any concerns about it?

Wiper motor component
Hi, my wiper recently quit working. I've disassembled it and poked around a bit. I'm still trying to understand completely how it's supposed to work and the mechanics of it. I've attempted to clean the commutator and brushes. I'm struggling to understand what the component is that's between the powe...

Foreign object in oil pan
Hey friends, I'm replacing the gasket on my oil pan and found this piece of metal screen. The oil pump pickup screen is intact and in place. Any suggestions on what it is, where it came from and what I might expect to happen next?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Leaks - front differential and portal
My pinz has been sitting a while and I'd like to get it in shape for Treffen this year. Historically I haven't done much of my own maintenance, but I'm in a position to finally start learning. She's leaking in several spots and I'm hoping that at least some of these repairs I can make on my own, but...

Re: Sprinter/Freightliner Seats on eBay
I just ordered a couple of these seats. Any chance I could get one of you that have installed them to PM me (or post) some pix of your work?
Thanks!
Brett
