Petronix question
Today I took some time to install a 24V Petronix unit in my otherwise stock TGB111. In the process I made an assumption that the relay and the disk shaped object just in front of the mounted coil in the engine compartment made up an ignition relay and ballast resistor. Petronix specifies that the bl...

Electric cooling fan
I'm looking for input regarding changing the TGB radiator cooling to an electric set up. The truck is still 24 volt. It would be simple to install a pusher fan but everything I read recommends a puller behind the radiator. Since the access is minimal at best, is the best course of action to pull the...

Air intake before filter
I have a stock TGB 11 with a B30A engine which I assume is original. In the air intake tubing or duct just prior to the air cleaner is a thermostatically operated damper. In theory it directs air from around the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner until the engine warms up and then just as a thermos...

Re: Power Arc Ignition prototype
Well, if the engineer is willing to go to the East Coast, (he, she, they) can mess around with my 303. It's about as stock and unmolested as you'll find. I understand there is another C303 in Boston also.

Re: HELP Missing Screw for Axle Boot
If you're going to work in the grass or gravel or dirt buy a magnet. Buy a BIG magnet. I have one for the job site that's a flat plate on an axle between two lawn mower size wheels. Handy for finding tiny shouldered fine thread Stromberg carburetor screws that leap out of your fingers trying to esca...

Re: Inbound C303 questions
Very nice looking truck. You'll love it and will find yourself in never ending conversations with total strangers. I got mine with 49,000 kilometers on it 2 years ago. So far I've had to get into all the brake lines, wheel cylinders, fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel lines near the engine, oil cooler se...

Re: New Tires 315/75r16
The tire choice relative to the stock wheels is an example of trying to make the best choice out of some less than perfect options. The original bias ply 280/85 16 Trellborgs are a size and design that we're never going to see in the International Tire Hall of Fame. A few years ago I found some repl...

Will you be posting any pictures? or
Has your truck been sold?
People keep stopping to talk with me about mine and where could they find one.
Thanks, Rick

Re: New Tires 315/75r16
We took the truck up up Vermont for the Vermont Overland Birdwatching Safari last weekend. Drove this year instead of using a trailer. 200+ miles each way with the tires at 35 psi. On the trails which are mostly stones we aired down to 22 or so psi. and climbed over or through every obstacle. The ne...

Re: New Tires 315/75r16
I never thought about it much and assumed they were tubeless. The guy with the tire machine asked. So I did my research first and then threw the question out to you guys to see if I was missing something. We'll just put new valves in the wheels. Living on an island you always have to think everythin...

New Tires 315/75r16
I'm finally getting new tires to replace the original Treborgs. Switching to an all terrain 315/75r16. The shop manual says the stock wheels are designed for either tube or tubeless tires. The parts manual does not list a tube. Has anyone here used tubes when switching to modern tires on the stock w...

Re: Saw this Valp listed.
It is up on Ebay. Listing ends in 8+ hours with a bid last night at $15,000.
It says its a 1979. One resource I looked up said those were made under license in Hungary. Don"t know if that's true or not.

Re: Vermont Overland Rally 2017
My son and I had a fun trip to Vermont the end of September. Met a great bunch of people at the Vermont Overland Birdwatching Safari. Brady with the Pinz from MA really gave my friend Justin in an M37 and my C303 a whirlwind introduction to Vermont Class 4 roads. Some of which look remarkably the sa...
