Re: Engine Oil Level Too High
If you are getting gas contamination of the oil I would be looking at the fuel pump being bad. I would have a hard time believing that choke problems would cause gas to accumulate in the crank case.

Re: Military vehicle Event
The 710M on the right appears to be much smaller than the 710K on the left. I know it is the camera lens that makes this difference, but do you see this? I thought the 710M was a Haflinger at first glance! No 710M in that photo. Your not talking about the 712M between the 710K and the Mog are you? ...

Re: Clutch replacement
Next stop is the clutch and pressure plate. After reading up, there seem to be 2 useable clutch discs available. 4 springs or 6 smaller springs. The 4 spring 733i clutch is upgraded from the stock 6 spring or 533i clutch. Since I plan to upgrade the motor, I went with the HD clutch now. Hopefully t...

Would a ~720 watt alternator be sufficient for your power demands?

Re: camperized pinny
http://viaircorp.com/ I have used a Viair 24v compressor with good results. I used mine without a tank to air up 2 33" tires at once using a "Y" hose with clamp on tire valve connectors. Would have been quicker with a tank however... tank no tank your choose. I don't remember the mod...

Is this the only DMV location you can go to? It sounds like you have encountered a public servant that has a personal mission and is possibly overreaching his authority.

Re: Clutch replacement
What do you guys think about the inside of the bellhousing? I think they should be dusty, but dry in there. I'm sure my clutch slave is leaking a tiny amount. Could the oily residue be from the slave cylinder? Should I pull the flywheel and look at the main bearing seal since I've gone this far? Th...

Re: Engine Oil Level Too High
Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't done anything myself to the vehicle since we got it two weeks ago. The Pinz had been sitting for 2 days before I checked the oil. In fact, it's been sitting for most of the time the previous Owner had it, he only put 100 miles on it in 4 years. I've only driven...
