Heater ground connection
In debugging a parasitic drain on the battery when the master switch is off, I found that there was a heater ground connection onto the battery relay connection with a spade-connector Y adapter. Does anyone know why this might be the design rather than a chassis ground connection? It seems like it m...

Re: Anyone tried the Victron 24-12v converters?
How is it on radio noise? Some converters make a lot of RFI and interfere with two-way and AM radios.

Re: Fuel pump replacement.
I've rebuilt mine with parts from SAV and been quite happy.
Just watch the pricing. Willy sometimes gets special deals, so you might find times when a new pump is cheaper than a rebuild kit.

Re: Stainless exhaust fab
How does the performance (HP) to before? My understanding was this engine isn't happy if the exhaust is too free-flowing.
And the paint on the heat exchanger....has that been through heat cycles yet? Looks really nice and am wondering what you used and how well it holds up.

Re: Battery replacement
Having gone down the rabbit hole of "what's the best battery choice?" recently, I settled on the AutoZone Duralast Gold variety. FWIW, I never go cheap on my batteries, but I don't go too fancy after some bad Optima experiences. I used to be a DieHard fan, but those are not what they used ...

Stiffer wiper springs?
I noticed that my wipers only work near the edges, suggesting the wiper arm spring can't overpower the preload in the wiper blade (RainX Latitude).
Anyone found an easy way to increase the arm spring tension?

Re: Bumper mount water ingress solution?
Thanks, pcolette. A facebooker suggested this is a common problem and due to a design flaw in how the lower pan meets up in the front. But to me, it seems like the rubber bushing should seal things up tight.
I figured I'd collect the wisdom of the group before taking it apart.

Wheel drive leak solved? (bad fill plug)
I've been chasing a slow leak from the LF wheel drive coming from the fill plug. I'd tried replacing the copper washers, annealing the washers, cleaning everything, giving it a bit extra torque, but the slow leak persisted from the plug area. The casting surface looks pristine. Then I put the plug u...

Re: Exhaust, idle musings about mods and effects
Seeing as my exhaust is off I've been wondering about modifications.... So the muffler is pretty large, and I've seen some mercedes car mufflers used as a slimline alternative. So...what's the issue you're trying to fix? Are you looking for weight savings? More ground clearance? Clearance for some ...
