You can check out there event at this link - http://www.oausa.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: What was your longest trip in your pinz?
The most I've driven in a day is 250 freeway miles. Hearing protection is a must. I invested in a pair of Etymotic ER-25 custom molded ear plugs - http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/erme.aspx They rate right up there with better seats and a balanced drive shaft as the best things for highway driving. They...

Re: sighting in bako
I get down to Bakersfield occasionally with my 710M with a tan top but if it was last weekend it wasn't me.
I've heard rumors from people who see my Pinzi that there is one somewhere in Bakersfield but then again most folks confuse Mogs for Pinzgauers.

I echo the comments on TdS. It was a lot of fun but it was noisy at night. I had to sleep using ear plugs. I also spent A LOT of time talking to people about the Pinzgauer. I'm planning on attending the Overland Expo. I don't know if I'll be taking the Pinzgauer or the Tacoma I'm building up for off...

If your into more off road exploring rather than hard core wheelin' you should check out the Mitchell guides from Track and Trail Publishing - http://trackandtrailpublications.com/TandT/Current_Publications.html Some of the them are a little dated but they are a very good and detailed reference to m...

I was thinking of a small 5lb cylinder mounted outside on the right rear panel of the bed. It may require some reinforcement. That would be enough to last most of my trips to use is for a short while in the morning and in a pinch while driving. I carry a 20lb tank with me when I know I'm going to be...

Propex Heater?
Has anyone tried installing a Propex Heater in their Pinzgauer?

I does add the hassle of adding a propane tank but it looks like it might be a good way to heat the back for camping.

You might consider a Thule Office Travler - http://compare.ebay.com/like/320541862064?ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes I picked one up at Target a couple of years ago. It easily straps to the maintenance cover to hold it in place. There are several thin pockets for papers and maps, a large zippered compa...

I'm in California and was paranoid about being stopped for not having belts in the back. Installing the belts was likely less expensive than the ticket for not having them. I got my belts here - http://www.gotbelts.com For the rear I installed a series of U-bolts behind the seats and got belts with ...

Speaker Mounting Brackets
Does anyone have a source for speaker mounting brackets that go in the upper corners of the roll bars? I know there were several folks producing them awhile back but it appears that they have all left the Pinzgauer parts business. If anyone has a pair for sale please let me know. I'm planning on mou...
