Re: Buying my first Pinz, what to look for?
I think I found a decent 710M in CA. He's the owner did not really take care of it. Softop needs replacing. Body seems fair. Hard starting when cold but it's all original ignition so that might be solved with the upgrade. Looks like he also found out about the non-safety tempered glass windshield, b...

Re: 710M or 710K?
I think if you wanna put 8 in the back of a 710K, you're gonna have to put in full length side facing troop seats (just like an M) and if they're all adults, it's gonna be tight. Curious in what way a 712 would be "too long" M's are not "usually rust monsters" just because they ...

Re: 710M or 710K?
Jake, for what you wanna do, it sounds like you need to be looking for a 712M. 1976 Pinzgauer 710K I kinda wish because the 712M's seem more available. But it's too long for what I want to do. Be advised when I say ten that means eight I the back and two up front. So if I've got five forward facing...

Re: 710M or 710K?
I'm aware of Andres build and we're talking. But the $2K plus CA CERT is cost prohibitive. So if I'm going to spend the cash, to the state or vehicle, I'm choosing vehicle. Hence the question, M or K conversion?

710M or 710K?
Hi guys, girls if you're out there. My name is Jake and I'm a self-professed Pinz Noob. But I'm eager. I live in California and the pickin's are slim. Due to the recent CARB update even importing out of stat is difficult. The pristine 710K's are more prevalent than the M's. And the M's, due to the s...

Re: Buying my first Pinz, what to look for?
Agreed. I could try and register it as agricultural since mostly going to live on the ranch. I just want to legally take it down the road every now and then. I'd prefer to have it all above boards so I can drive it home too. The ranch is about 200 miles away.

Re: Buying my first Pinz, what to look for?
Well, I'm not sure. Finally saw the report on the 710m. Idle is surging so there's likely some carb balancing needed. Smoke at startup so the top end probably needs to be resealed. Video shows general lack of care like the machine has sat outside for a few years, cobwebs on the springs, And rusted s...

Re: Buying my first Pinz, what to look for?
I very recently got the bug from a 710M parked right in front of my office window a few weeks ago. The tenant got a good deal on a barn pick. I'd be willing to bet I now know more about these machines then he does. Tried to rent it for a weekend to test it out but cost prohibitive. Then I started my...

Re: Buying my first Pinz, what to look for?
I have most certainly been down that road before TechMo. I've got a guy going over to give the Pinz a 160 pt inspection. In case he wasn't too familiar I gave him all the important points to check as well as the whole MadScientist link for further inspection. Should hear the full report by tomorrow ...
