balancing carburetors

Thanks Mike, I had Jim help me at Dave Dunn's shop once, but I could not remember all the steps in the procedure. I did it this afternoon and they read even and the engine sounds great. Once the reason for the parts being there is known, it makes sense. Jim recommended that I replace the ends of the...

balancing carburetors

When I adjust the idle to balance the air going into the carbs, do I disconnect the linkage?

SPARE PARTS

A trip that far...find a place for an extra spare tire. Oh yeah, an air compressor too. Headlight bulbs.
And at least one of the party should be a little mechanically inclined.

fan motor

Mine has two speeds as well, off and on.
Will a new switch need to be installed to make it work properly?

I would really be interested in a replacement unit, what cost, if you find that there is a stock of them available?

winch connections

Thanks Scott, I did feel like I was being flamed, but I realize that the written word can sometimes be misread. What really struck me about the post on the Alaskan 4x4 site was the ingenuity that one individual used to acomplish a task with tools at hand or that he could create. Before I attempted a...

This sounds like a very reasonable mod to a pinz.
It would be very beneficial to have a pic of this mod, just to see it done.

I am connected to a jeep website and have just read a recent post from one of the guys that are very active in desert wheeling... this may make for some less than interesting wheeling on the local desert trails.
