Cab Seat Cushion Replacement
My original cab seat cushions are a little worse for the wear. Any suggestions for direct replacement, all-weather cushions, or possibly reupholster the original cushions with more padding and different material, or other ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Insurance?!
I don't recall my policy indicating that it can't be used off road, guess I better check that. Policy does say it's to be kept in a locked garage, but I just park mine in a carport. Unless it's ever damaged sitting in the carport and I file a claim, the garage requirement doesn't much matter.

Re: Insurance?!
Have you tried a "classic car" insurance agency? I have mine insured through Hagerty. They do have some restrictions, but their rates are very low.

Re: Fuel Tank DeLamination
Is the "Red Death" inevitable for all Pinz tanks or does it just happen to a few, some, or lots?

Re: Driveshaft Balancing
Any ball park estimates of the cost? Appears that only a few have had it done and it was done by Pinz a specialist?
I may just live with it, too. I rarely go fast enough such that it becomes very noticeable.

Driveshaft Balancing
Thoughts? Was it a worthwhile investment? Any noticeable reduction in vibration? Cost? Can a reputable drivetrain shop do it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Hard to start....
Might check fuel pump. The diaphram inside the pump gets old, don't hold pressure and allow the fuel to drain back to the tank. If truck has been sitting a while, it can take extended cranking to get fuel back to the carbs. That was the problem with mine, but rebuilding the pump solved that issue. A...

VDO Speedometer Calibration
Anybody know the pulse/mi value to use for the speedo calibration? I'm running 265/75-16 tires.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Tires - convince me.
I'm using Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers in 265/75-16 with no tubes. Have had them for a few years with no problems. If there's a Discount Tire nearby, you might watch for sales as they frequently have good deals on tires in this size range.

Re: Steering leak & front diff leak
Mine leaks from the top box as well. Occasionally, I'll see a drip on the underside on the steering arm. I just keep it topped up, but I suppose if it's leaking enough, it might warrant replacing the seal.

Re: Street legal: front marker lights & replacement speedom
I bought my VDO speedo from SAV, which came with some ok wiring instructions. If you don't have those, I can provide them to you as they will help. However, the instructions don't say where to get the switched-on 24 volt power supply from. I haven't finished wiring mine, so haven't determined the be...

Re: Speedometer Problem
On mine, the speedo needle stopped working, but the trip and odo worked fine. I disassembled most of it, but couldn't find anything obviously wrong, so I bought a VDO electronic speedo from SAV. I think OEM speedos are still available, but very expensive. There's a member here on the board, pcolette...

Re: New Member and potential new Pinz owner-just a few conce
All good advice. Although the body looks nice on that one, buying a non-running one could be full of expensive, unpleasant surprises. With some patience, you can find a running 710M in decent shape for $8-$9k.
