716 Chassis Picture
I wondered if anyone had an image of a 716 chassis (like the 712 and 718 that are often shown in the factory brochures etc).......but it must be a 716. I need such a picture to clarify some engineering details (disk brakes, modular design aspects etc) and problems I'm having with the Engineering/Reg...

There are a number of wiring options for the TD's but this is the one I used.

Re: Leaf Springs for 718 Ambulance
I can't tell you if the "individual leaves" of the 712 spring assembly are the same as a 718, but I do know the 718 has 4 leaves per assembly and the 712 has 3.

Re: 718 or 712
Easy, have one of each! :D In actual fact thats a difficult question to answer.....I'm sure you'll get lots of various answers, but my personal take on it is boils down to this: The 718 is better as a long distance tourer.....quieter, better fuel economy, braking, steering etc, and the auto trans is...

Re: Atik G wheels
The Hutchinson Wheels are my all time favourites (Canadian G) but at 876 euro each (I have seen them available a little cheaper from a few specialist suppliers) I think I'II be waiting for a Tattslotto win before I buy any. http://www.puch.at/en/spare-parts/accessories/hutchinson-beadlock-wheels/480...

Call me a "stick in the mud", but I still personally think you can't beat this body form/shape/style etc for a TD

Re: Who got this 718M from the UK?
"Detective Dave" is on the job! :D I think your right re the top Dave.......usually the dead give-away re Malaysian Pinny's is they are fitted with riot screen so they drill the top and windscreen frame to fit nutserts for the mounts, however whilst you can't really see any holes in this s...

Re: seized locker arm
Just be careful with heat as you've got the Plastic bushes/spacers between the lever units.
I'd be surprised if soaking and a little bit of mechanical persuasion doesn't get the job done.
Good luck!

Re: seized locker arm
Hmmm, after reading it a number of times, I now guess you are talking about the levers inside the cabin, rather than the forks/arms inside the Bearing Housing assembly behind the front diff. Sorry for the confusion, you had me tossed when you were taking about "arms"! :D I'd pull the shaft...

Re: seized locker arm
I'm a little lost.....Do you mean the vertical bar that the cast alloy selector fork pivots on?The front locker is seized to the horizontal bar that all of the locker arms rotate on
